For those that haven’t noticed, the manual is online now. You can use the link in LP’s Help menu or
Http://loopypro.com/manual
but worth noting the manual is not yet finished. Seems to end after the mixer section.
Every time I click on this thread title, I hear it to the following tune.

Loopy Pro’s here!
Loopy Pro’s here!
Grab an iPad and yank it near
It’s the best time of the year
Loopy Pro’s here!
…
I’ve been twisting donuts for hours….
Years from now when folks talk about Loopy Pro like they now talk about Live and Bitwig, you can say “check the record, I was there!”
Hey @Michael, wanted to report some bugs. AUv3s are crashing quite often for me. When I switch back from another app a lot of them have to reload. BeatHawk, Koala Sampler and LK are very prone to this, but even Drambo had to be manually reloaded at some point. BeatHawk seemingly never saves its state and even Koala came up empty last time. LK at least reloaded everything properly so far.
I had similar problems with Cubasis btw.
Could that be some settings of mine?
I‘m on an iPad Pro 11“ (the first one) and run iPadOS 15.2.
Apart from that I love Loopy Pro. It’s so damn flexible and intuitive at the same time.
Also thanks for hosting this fantastic forum. You’re a legend! ❤️
Btw, you should look through your analytics and see if there are crash logs for the AUv3s that crashed. The analytics are accessed via the OS's Settings app: Settings>Privacy>Analytics and Improvements>Analytics Data
(You can get to Analytics and Improvements by typing 'Analytics' in the search field in the Settings app.
Digging into loopy pro finally and loving it. One thing has come up - once I’ve imported a loop into a donut, I swipe up to get the edit window where it shows waveform & loop points, and clip setting below. But I haven’t found a way to show the file name of the imported loop? I imported a couple of guitar loops in different keys - and later went to change pitch of one to match other - but couldn’t remember what pitch change was needed (I used my ears in the end - old fashioned way!). Is there a way to see the file name of imported wavs?
Other than that - it’s been a joy so far - and that’s only the first hour or so.
The original file name isn’t currently imported.
Hi everyone, a quick question...could be sorted already, but I've run out of demo time. I have encountered issues with the tuning of some of the AUv3 apps when I move between octaves. I have a M1 iPad Pro 11" with a Arturia MiniLab MkII connected. I have noticed with Synthmaster 2 and Animoog Z that when I change octaves with the octave selector the tuning changes and I need to reinstall the app to get back the tuning. Also, when using Sunrizer if I go to the bottom octave and play a note the main audio mutes and I need to restart LP to have the audio operate normally again. I'm sorry if this isn't enough detail. the demo period finished and I can't test it now. Looks like a good app otherwise.
Tuning selector? Do you mean you're changing the Loopy built-in keyboard by pressing the lock icon and then moving and sliding? If so then I'm guessing the only problem is you need to hit that lock icon again to lock the keyboard. Notes don't play (or very rarely play) when the keyboard is unlocked for moving and resizing.
Or, do you mean that you're changing the tuning of recorded loops using the pitch slider? Or, are you referring to tuning options within Synthmaster 2 and Animoog Z somehow?
I can reproduce this. I don't know if that's a Sunrizer bug or a Loopy bug. I'll do some testing in other hosts, etc. and report it on the beta test channel.
@wim Thanks for the reply. By tuning I mean the tuning of the AUv3 itself. So, I play a bit..maybe record a part. Then change octaves in the AUv3, return to the original octave in the AUv3 and the tuning has changed. It sounds out against the original recorded loop.
That is a Sunrizer bug. It happens in AUM too. You should report it to the developer. Maybe try http://forum.beepstreet.com/categories/sunrizer
There's not much that can affect AUv3 tuning, as long as you stick with equal-tempered. One possibility is confusion between 44.1 kHz sampling and 48 kHz. That can detune by 147 cents, or between one and two semitones. If that's what you're hearing, the different apps may be using different sample rates.
When you say "the AUv3" do you mean Loopy Pro itself running as an AUv3 in a host like AUM? Or do you mean some other AUv3 running inside Loopy pro?
I'm trying to get my head around this. I believe you, but I've never seen any app change it's tuning just by changing octaves.
What you describe sounds very unusual. If you can remember more details and which AUv3 were involved folks can investigate. Michael is diligently working to squash bugs and needs details to be able to do that.
OK. Sorry for the vagueness. I’m talking about when the AUv3 that is hosted inside Loopy Pro. That is, Loopy Pro is the host. It appeared to me with Synthmaster 2 and Animoog Z hosted as AUv3s inside Loopy Pro. Difficult for me to give you more details as the demo expired. I don’t know if it happens when using the Loopy Pro inbuilt keyboard or just when I’m using the external MIDI controller. Wouldn’t have thought it would make much difference.
The first time I encountered this problem was inside Synthmaster 2. My assumption would be that SM2 would be using Loopy Pro’s sample rate and I don’t know why that would change during use if this is the problem.
I’ll see if there are any other weird notes thrown out by the Minilab when changing octaves via it’s buttons. Maybe there is some weird signal thing going on.
@wim thank you for checking Sunrizer out. At least I know where that issue is. I love that synth. I’ll just stay away from the lowest octave for now.
@espiegel123 Synthmaster 2 and Animoog Z were the AUv3s I was using.
@wim I’ve never encountered that type of thing either.
I found yesterday’s logs for BeatHawk, Drambo, Koala and Loopy Pro.
Anything specific I should look for? Should I send them to UVI, @giku and @Michael?
Hook us up!
Yep. I’m getting audio dropouts. I’m on 15.2.
Most of the time LP is running fine but some times these dropouts happens. They seems isolated on a singel channel/track.
I’m using TB eq on allmost every ch. I just mention this in case there could be a connection.
@michael, you have a valid link for discord, please?
https://discord.io/loopypro

even when i search for the server and click join i get the same error
Same here
Damn. That’s annoying. I don’t really know Discord, let me ask the guy who set it up
people can't do anything anymore without a GUI.... RIP IRC
If the logs have "wakeups_resource" or "cpu_resource" in their names, you can ignore them. They are normal. If they just have the app name and the date, they are likely crash logs, and you might try sending them to the devs. Try to be specific telling them what you were doing at the time, esp. that you were running the AUv3 inside Loopy Pro.
Good to know. I sent the logs to the devs. I hope it helps them.
FWIW, I was just able to join the Dischord at 9:09am (nice) EST, using Chrome on a ~2014 Macbook.
