@espiegel123 Synthmaster 2 and Animoog Z were the AUv3s I was using.
@wim I’ve never encountered that type of thing either.
I found yesterday’s logs for BeatHawk, Drambo, Koala and Loopy Pro.
Anything specific I should look for? Should I send them to UVI, @giku and @Michael?
Hook us up!
Yep. I’m getting audio dropouts. I’m on 15.2.
Most of the time LP is running fine but some times these dropouts happens. They seems isolated on a singel channel/track.
I’m using TB eq on allmost every ch. I just mention this in case there could be a connection.
@michael, you have a valid link for discord, please?
https://discord.io/loopypro
^--what i constantly get regardless of browser or client
even when i search for the server and click join i get the same error
Same here
Damn. That’s annoying. I don’t really know Discord, let me ask the guy who set it up
people can't do anything anymore without a GUI.... RIP IRC
If the logs have "wakeups_resource" or "cpu_resource" in their names, you can ignore them. They are normal. If they just have the app name and the date, they are likely crash logs, and you might try sending them to the devs. Try to be specific telling them what you were doing at the time, esp. that you were running the AUv3 inside Loopy Pro.
Good to know. I sent the logs to the devs. I hope it helps them.
FWIW, I was just able to join the Dischord at 9:09am (nice) EST, using Chrome on a ~2014 Macbook.
@tja if you tag and attribute something to someone, it seems good form to be complete and give that person's quote. This is what is replied to your post in another thread: "This looks like a Loopy Pro issue, from your description and videos it's very likely it's stopping to call the MIDI Tape Recorder audio callback block."
@tja: try setting a tempo . I didn’t have a chance to watch your video. Many apps need the host bpm to be set in order to run. Loopy usually derives tempo from your first loop and so doesn’t have a default tempo. Try entering one.
Don’t feel bad, it took me a hot minute to wrap my head around this as well! (Now if I could just get my head around some other things in LP, like when loops just start playing all by themselves right in the middle of something, without me tapping them! I’m sure it’s a setting I’ve changed somewhere deep in the menus, maybe on a color, or maybe somewhere else. Thank god the manual is starting to arrive!)
If a loop starts playing by itself it would be because if something you set up. A follow action or midi mapping or assigning something to a group or something. Or if something was added on the sequencer page and forgotten about.
If you turn on LP’s “Play in background “ setting that won’t happen. When play in background is off, loopy puts things “to sleep” when it goes to the background and there seem to be some glitches with interface redraws when it comes back into the foreground. Turning the option on will increase battery consumption if LP is in the background for a long time.
Thanks.
Not sure if it’s interface, plugin or LP related.
Empty project; tempo set manually; plugins on input channel, monitored - random audio dropouts when playing guitar
Switch to AUM to rule out potential hw/sw issues - same hw, same plugins, no dropouts; surprisingly a cleaner, more transparent sound with better dynamics
Back to LP; last project state recovered; seemingly tempo set, but Dubstation ‘Delay Time’ param no longer works; switch to 44.1k to ‘reset‘ audio engine - distorted sound while playing; switch back to 48k - Dubstation is still not working properly, sound is ok but occasional audio dropouts
Is there anyway to adjust the volume when previewing loops from already imported media? Right now it’s blistering loud!!! I lowered the master channel mixer level - but for previewing media/loops it seemed only the system volume on iPad would lower volume..
Where are you previewing the already imported media from?
I swipe up on a donut, hit import button in top right, which brings up the Media browser that shows all my imported loops (below Document picker & music library).
I think the mixer would only apply to tracks and inputs. I think adjusting your system volume is probably the only way to do it (same would be true if playing back from the Files Quicklook)
Anyone using the Akai APC 40 MK2 with Loopy Pro and care to report of its integration?
