    Haha. I can rule it out until proven otherwise. Statistically speaking, of course it's possible. However there has been no evidence to support this theory. That's how theories work. Speculation minus evidence does not a fact make.

    I remember Steinberg had a freebie Model-E -which wasnt the most powerful emu but was free, so..- not sure if its still available

    I don’t know of any that are always free, but minimonsta often shows up really inexpensively. I got it free at some point in the past two years, but I don’t remember where.

    Arturia had the minimoog classic for free several years ago for one day but I don’t think I’ve seen it since.

    The cherry audio mg-1 is free, definitely not a mini moog but does sound great

    If you have logic, the retro synth (I instrumentalists that’s what it’s called) has some mini styled patches.
