It's working fine for me. Can you be more specific about the problem you're seeing?
Thanks for the response!
When I load it as an AUv3 midi plug-in in AEM to drive a midi instrument track (e.g., Animoog Z), the sequencer will not start. It will generate sequences, and I can manipulate all of the parameters, but the sequencer won't play. No prob using StepPolyArp, Rozeta Cells, etc.
Yup, Host Sync enabled. Play mode enabled in both Euclidean and AEM. Other sequencers working A-OK.
I try to draw in a velocity curve, but it won’t let me. I get the message, “No sequenced notes on this step.” But I hear notes playing, and I checked to see that band A is selected. There are clearly nodes visible playing in Band A on the circular in the screen above.
I’m wondering what I’m not comprehending here.
I did it. I learnted it out.
I finally got this, and think it’s my favorite 4pocket app. It’s so easy to create polyrhythms, nice popular musical sequences via the Euclidean mode, polymeters, it’s just too easy. I noticed that one instance of Euclidean with 8 Audio Units was way easierthan using 4 other sequencers to churn out the same results. Really fun stuff. Highly recommend this for AUM.
As usual, I’m confused. Just got a Macbook Air M4. Downloaded a bunch of apps that I have been using on my ipad, but can now use on silicon chip macs. Having fun with Nambu and Tera Pro within Ableton Live, but there are a few sequencers that aren’t appearing in my list of plug-ins. Patterning 3 is there, but Euclidean, Midisteps, and others (Zoa, Ooda) aren’t. Is this because they are like Fugue Machine Rubato where I can only open standalone and then route the midi to Ableton? Or will they work within Ableton and I’m just too dense to know how to do that?
Just found a vid on youtube explaining how to use Zoa standalone, and then sync it with Ableton. However, at the start of the vid he says that AUv3 isn’t supported in Ableton, but my understanding is that this is no longer the case (i.e it is now supported).
So, (genuine question), how come I can open an app like Patterning 3 within Ableton, but other sequencers won’t open in the same way?
I think it's because Patterning 3 is an Instrument or Generator AUv3 plugin which also outputs MIDI. That is supported.
Zoa, etc are MIDI FX AUv3 plugins, which aren't supported in Ableton Live yet.
Ah, ok. Thanks Mike. This is what I wanted to know
Can I ask: When using the Euclidian sequence auv within Loopy Pro, how can I choose patterns with my midi footpedal. E.g I want a controller number to cycle through pattern 1 to pattern 5 and again 1 through 5. In AUM there is an easy midi coupling for that. I can not get it to work in Loopy Pro. Thanks, Marc
You’ve you checked the manual sections on how to bind midi to AUv3 parameters? Generally it’s as easy as engaging midi learn, then tapping the control in the plugin that you want to map and then sending the midi, but just as in AUM there can be some additional manual setup needed.
Hi Wim, thanks for responding, i know how to bind midi to Auv3 parameters but with the Euclidean app I can not find how i can cycle through e.g. pattern 1 to 5 and again from 1 to 5, with a cc command. I hope there is someone who has done thisin Loopy pro and let me know.
