Wouldn't that lead to insanity and potential destruction of iPad by trauma as it bounces off a brick wall? :-}
It would if say you were doing it for 100gb worth of samples maybe I just use it to check my drum elements all match once added.
The precision knob is in the program editor where you edit the level and pan etc...

Thanks Dave, it's my age, I had the selection to sounds, rather than params...

I was able to use my Yamaha Audiogram 6 USB audio interface to record samples, but I could NOT monitor the audio I was recording. I had to use a pair of headphones attached to the audio interface. This got old fairly quickly as did having all of the samples going to the same folder, so I used Looptical and Audioshare to record a bunch of samples and then loaded them into iMPC Pro via iFunBox where I trimmed them.
Had a good time tonight with iMPC pro. But, following along with the last few post of this thread, please make pitch adjustments more musical in some future update. I can see wanting to combine semi-tones and cents into a single knob but ugh! There's a reason seperate semi-tones and cents adjustments have become standard.
@kobamoto hi Guy There is the mail i send to support@retronyms
Hi dreamteam,
This is Alexandre from France, exactly romans sur isere lol.
Excuse me for my american speaking but i dont use a translator, its the best thing to learn your language.
So i test some scenarios for using is202 istudio of behringer.
I use ipad2 and ios7.
1) first test
A)i kill all process in ram of ipad for maximum ram for Samples.
B)I turn on the is202 and launch impc pro.
C)When i touch play, speakers of ipad is on but not the main output or headphones of is202.
D)I have to power off the is202 and power on for just enable the output and headphones of is202 and it works sometimes.
E)with this manipulations (C&D), sampling with line/mic of is202 don't work but only the mic of the ipad2.
2)second test
A)i kill all process in ipad ram.
B)i turn on the is202.
C)i launch impc first.
D)i launch impc pro.
E)now i have any problem for listening with output and headphones of is202 and recording is ok but only mono with mic/line input of is202 with cd,vynil,tape,smartphone...
F)but if i kill the process of impc, we have the same problems of first test at case C).Main output and headphones disabled for is202 and recording with mic/line of is202 not working only ipad hardware is enabled.
@amekcia Excuse me for my american speaking
I think you may be referring to your English speaking.
1000 posts. This is incredible.
What version of iFunbox are you guys using? There's three versions by two makers in the App Store & I want to get the right one, thanks.
@Ripper said:
It's not an app. It's a program available for PC (and Mac I think?). Allows you to browse and handle your iDevices file system.
I'm using version 1.5 on my MacBook Air

@Ripper said:
It's a desktop app. Go to i-funbox.com.... No app stores
@ArcaneScreams said:
Somebody stop this madness!
I insist on opening a new bug-only thread...
@Ripper said:
It's a desktop (Mac/Win) app, not an iOS app.

All we need is another non AB thread on Audiobus forum. I'm sure retronyms will be more than happy to host.
You need the desktop version, not the apps.

I sample my SubPhatty inside.....so funny, I think to make a full song with this
A track I made on impc-pro and tweaked in audio master. Light summer sounding hip hop with a touch of dilla and ATCQ. First track down my initial thoughts are its very fun and great workflow, but it has a mind of its own sometime and with several crashes i had to re-do bits several times, hopefully the bug and quirks get ironed out soon and this will be my goto Drum/Sampler app.
@sinapsya what did you use to get your sub fatty in?
starting to get used to the workflow a little now....
@DaveMagoo I have my old but reliable Novation X-station which is iPad compatible, and works with AA battery too
@Sinapsya said:
X station is beautiful. I used to have 25 then I swapped it for 49 but I think I'm going back to 25 again. Seems to have been made for ipad
@Josee_Bee
Nice one, I enjoyed that.
Funny and interesting by Tim:
Nice music showing up in this thread!
2 cents no one asked for (par for my course):
@Sinapsya tight! What do you think about having the hats sorta quiet until the bass growl comes in at 0:16? Would make that introduction sound tougher I think.
@Jose_Bee great beat. They should buy it from you and replace the dilla dreams song. Consider bringing the snare up 2-3db and reducing the reverb on it 6db?
@dave_magoo amazing vibe and I love the interplay with the rhythms. Hope you keep at this one.
@syrupcore Yeah Man, it's not an arrangement, I only put 3 sequences on song for upload...it's an idea....
when I made the song think at your advice
haha @dischord "That's going to fuck your shit right up". Perfect.
Yo... Sorry to add a new bug to the list but my Sonic Port lightening audio interface is not recognised and I cańt sample from a plugged line in... I can do it in all other DAW including BM2... Guess I'm gonna go back to the beast faster than I would have thought (and kinda hoped in fact) ;-) ... :-/

Yes, you should do that.
Rename app to BrokenMPC or DroppedOnTheFloorMPC to appropriately slot this app into the Akai family relative to any hardware equivalent. It could've been great (again) and was definitely doable with iOS but missed the boat almost completely and fell off the peer into the water. Doesn't lend itself to anything but dorking around only within the context of a single disconnected, feature stripped, application all the while not knowing if you're project is going to be there the next day. I'll check back in next year to see if I'm wrong about all the begging for fixes going nowhere. You get what you pay for; a sample launcher, skinned to look like a popular MPC, but not and broke at that.
Yeah, I'm a hater because they know better and played the customers from the beginning and are now throttling back their expectations now the app is in the wild.
BrokenMPC 2.0 now available in the app store.
