I need to stay far away from this thread. Im 🤏 this close to buying the entire trinity (Digitone and Digitakt included). I miss those 2 so bad and the Syntakt is the piece of gear I’m lusting over most these days.

i have inverted issue .. have already digitakt and digitone and this makes my GAS for syntakt horribly big :)))) now trying to sell Analog 4 to fund syntakt

Oh wow so you’d chose the Syntakt over the A4?

A4 somehow didn't clicked with me that much like Digitakt/Digitone .. don't get me wrong, it's great machin on it' own, it's just in me, there are subtle diferences when compad to DT/DN workflow which, when used together with them, doesn't click wih me and are breaking my "in flow" state during creation process

  • Got one to pair with my Octatrack and think it’s an excellent machine. Early days but instantly like the drum sounds I’m creating.

Totally understand that! And I’m sure the 3 of them will all look great together being that they’re the same form factor.

Agreed on the workflow though. I know some people hate it but I loved working with my Digitakt/Digitone. Greatly miss them both.

  • I was checking out something in the music store a while back, and saw the Syntakt there. I plugged in my headphones (always take my own!) and tapped a few pads.

Whatever drum and bass patches were loaded up sounded amazing. It’s an impressive box.

  • I take back my comment from the first week when this arrived (not at my home though)... its pretty powerful and I think I will start save up for this over the RYTM. until yesterday I was all up for the RYTM as my dream drummer, but I think the Syntakt will fit my needs (and space on desk ;)) even better. Cool it has the analog machines from the RYTM also.
but this is also pretty expensive.

  • Word on the YouTube is that all the Digi boxes got a firmware update today with song mode that looks pretty slick. Not sure if there's more, but that alone is a huge UI update.

For me almost even cooler than the song mode is the scale fold mode. Meaning all unnecessary keys are folded so you basically have two octaves on the tone/takt… really cool
Beside that they added more scales to the boxes

    Whoa, that is really nice.

  • Anyone know if scale lock exists on analog four, specifically mk1?
