Automatically mute input nodes if they change from external to built-in microphone, to avoid feedback.

    Amazing!

Right, this is happening to me so often.

Rewrote MIDI Clock Send, now part of the MIDI matrix and can be connected to multiple destinations.

Finally, I can sync the sequencers of all of my external gear.

    Massive update. Thanks @j_liljedahl

You call this a major update?? I'm utterly gutted that this update doesn't include skins and theming!! Utterly useless. 🤬

Looking forward to it! My most-used iPad musician app.

    This.
    AUM is basis of everything!

Added a Tip Jar for those who'd like to support future development.

    👌

Add 'DJ style' combined LP/HP filter node.

This is incredible! You have no idea... :anguished:

Automatically mute input nodes if they change from external to built-in microphone, to avoid feedback.

And my other feature request, thank you!

  • Save midi mapping templates and remapping a channel of an existing template is huge.

  • That’s quite a list .
I never got round to requesting @j_liljedahl to add /8 & /16 denominators to time signature transport section ,
as some of my odd meter songs don’t play properly (bar length wise ) with the only available /4 .

Maybe after a well earned rest , in the next marathon effort .

  • AUM is a life changer. Thank you!

Landscape mode for iPhone? Nm, the answer is no unfortunately..😿

  • The DJ style' combined LP/HP filter node - could be a new app all by itself.
Use channel auto title (source node title) also for recordings - super helpful.
Sample precise transport clock = rock solid loops! Huzzizzah!
Show mix bus usage count as subtitle in node picker - this will now become a part of the beta testing toolkit for every new app.

I could go on and on…

This enormously generous update is a brilliant blend of workflow improvements, system enhancements and new features. @j_liljedahl you absolutely rock. 👅🍭😎👊🤩🥳🤯☠️🦾🎩

  • : Add Replace to node long-press menu, copies MIDI routing and filter from old node.
This sounds like it could be useful.

@j_liljedahl : well done, and thank you. AUM is my only DAW (oh, okay , not a DAW, a ‘recording environment’) used daily, and makes everything possible for me.

Glad you are adding Tip Jar, which I will be using shortly.

Who knows: maybe I can yet incentivise you to add recordable/editable fader and button automation as per the ‘clickable timeline graph’ metaphor from Ableton or Cubasis ;) (Hell, I’d even buy that as separate-but-integrate-able IAP/standalone module to maintain the purity of AUM.)

Yes - this is a feature request before even the new update drops. How very dare I ? :)

  • I’ve read through the release notes, but I don’t see MIDI clock in. Is that correct, or have I mis-read?

    Also, great update!

    This is HUGE!

Don't want it to be a slave.

  • Great app. Great update. Will be using that tip jar.

    X 2 for this

  • @j_liljedahl will AUM ever allow users to create a 'favorites' section for plugs, midi and instruments? Would be amazing to have the option to select the most used items and save them in a fav folders rather than trolling through lots of apps to find what you need :)

  • AUM is just amazing. Everything in it makes sense and is in the right place and form. It’s almost scary.
First thought is “how can a single guy pull this off?”. It’s too good.
Second thought is “it’s that good precisely because it’s done by a single guy”.
This is a very clear vision, workflow, setup, environment that wouldn’t be the way it is if a large team were involved. Priorities would collide, concessions and compromises would be made, resulting in less cohesion and coherence.
It’s also the best foundation and perfectly embraces a modular system, which imo is the best way possible. Let specific apps specially on tasks. AUM + LK for midi + Loopy for audio (if loopy had multi outs) with AUM as the master, never slave 🙃

I've heard that something like that is in consideration, more like plugin tags if i'm not mistaken.

I have a bunch of project files that are just apps/mappings, then use the import feature to import a single node of that project. Actually is quicker than finding the app and resetting up midi connections.

Yeah - I have templates too, same in Cubasis. Just would be nice to have a favorites option in these applications.

  • Still no MIDI receive clock. Until recently I still used AUM for my main iPad as an instrument set up, as any other app just lacked the polish, ease of use, but I could only use it in a limited capacity, since no external MIDI clock. The latest Drambo 2.0 update finally provided a stable and useful alternative to connect to my Elektron and TE gear. Was hoping really deeply that we might finally see a MIDI clock in (which I know can be very hard to get right), or, at least transport control in - this would probably be easy. Having AUM as the MIDI host is terrible ergonomically compared to using external gear, especially pressing that small play button to start/stop the whole thing.

  • Immense! Thank You @j_liljedahl

  • Will be checking out said tip jar for sure. AUM is a gift that keeps on giving, so..
