It’s excellent as always, there’s really nothing else like it. Just recorded my new live set with it last night in fact, hoping to get all the video edited over the next couple of days and have it on the Tube shortly.
People have a responsibility to act in good faith .. and act in good faith if their questionable behavior is called into question.
If you keep coming into a peaceful but boisterous bar and fisticuffs and bottles start flying and the bar has to shut early to deal with the mess pretty much only on nights when you come into the bar, the barkeep might eventually decide enough is enough.
The opinions were unlikely the issue but rather the pattern of getting discussions shut down .
Sounds good! Glad you're enjoying it.
Your pardon, good sir, but I daresay the proprietor does not condone fisticuffs in this establishment.
Ha-ha. Fisticuffs. As an American who enjoys making up words, I love some of the things I hear. Boffin is another funny sounding one I love.
I’ve heard “across the pond” a couple times. I always wonder if that refers to us, across the Atlantic, or Ireland.
I guess if you have racist, homophobic, jingoistic, and generally obnoxious views, you can kind of keep under the radar and just chat music related stuff without pissing everyone off. But if you’re going to Lord it over every thread then I’m going to keep my fingers crossed that you either have a profound change of heart, forget your password (or generally leave of your own accord), or yes, get yourself banned.
They come and they go. Might even be the same person over and over…
I always imagined that referring to the Atlantic as the pond was an American thing, but maybe I’m wrong - when I use it I mean you good folks over there in the new world 😁
That would depend upon the rules, London or Queensberry chaps.
Everything I know I've learnt from Lost in the Pond.
Yes yes yes. And yes.
That was nice watch @Liquidmantis thanks.
Yeah, I always thought of said person as the Andy Kaufman of this forum. I admittedly found a bit of humor with all the bantering, but left when things got too ugly. I always wondered if Neum was a play off the name Newman, the antagonist in Seinfeld. Definitely gifted with the semAntics.
I too have pondered this mystery for far too much time…

Not sure politics is really necessary in here. At least, that's the reason I enjoyed this forum for so many years. Almost no trolls at all.
Teach us some of your mastering wizardry instead 😉 !
Always happy to answer any mastering questions, just start a new thread with them!
I think I will read more threads now too... but I would have banned Lineman as well 🤷🏽♂️
💯
I would think that some who continually stir the pot, as @BiancaNeve put it so well, might try to find another forum to post political rants/comments, rather than an audio forum, even if they're in the Audiobus "off-topic" category. One that specializes in these kind of... topics. It just seems to create needless discourse and arguments. How do some even find time to create their 7,346 "albums"? A bit sad if this is the only place where one's "friends" are. Just a suggestion, no vitriol meant.
People can choose not to read the discussions clearly marked “off-topic”. Sometimes it is nice to hang out with one’s musician pals and discuss other things.
Thanks for the explanation.
👍
Side note, I think it must be @IAMANAI who asked to delete their content and account
@LinearLineman please don’t go and get banned. You bring so much to this place.
@Tarekith Seriously?? I have so many questions…
This. I’m sure people who complain about political discussions have no problem ignoring countless other threads. No one’s forcing them to click and read political ones so they should just ignore them like they do any other thread they choose not to open and read.
The two were told not to engage with each other any further or they would be banned. LinearLineman did not respond to NeuM when he started posting in the thread that LinearLineman had started. Had he taken the bait he would have been banned too I'm sure.
“No vitriol meant” you say but I think your comment above is pretty vitriolic, and saying they are “just a suggestion” doesn’t make them less so, passive-aggressively throwing out unnecessary and irrelevant insults at forum members for the sake of, what? Bolstering your argument by painting people who start threads you don’t like as people with social failings or something? When it looks like you need to learn some social tact and decency yourself. Just a suggestion, no vitriol meant.
And so it begins… (again)
Don’t worry, I’m done, and if that last post was too harsh, I apologize. I got triggered and sure, I could’ve taken my own medicine and ignored the comment I was responding to, but I don’t like to see what looks to me like bullying of others, but yeah if all I did was respond like a bully myself, then again, I apologize. And once again, I’m done so no more back and forth on my side at least, I promise.
