Hmm, if developers are being ‘slaughtered’ and established forum members here are doing the ‘butchery’, that kinda means ios newbies like me are pretty much at ‘consumer’ level… ah, the marketing cycle of life. Must be time to buy another app.
I wanted to try out the built-in Mini Sampler, but the record button is greyed out. Input signal is there, monitoring works. What could be the reason for the greyed out record button?
Edit: hmm, after posting and reading about Mini Sampler, I brought back the still running Cubasis project, and now the record button is red. The keys are white (before they were coloured). I could record a sample. So far so good.
It’s a rather good sampling engine with good graphical interface. The crossfade function for sample loops works well. However, there is another problem: when playing with the keyboard, the loop points are not correct. I think this Mini Sampler is not working properly.
Edit: ha! After creating a new MIDI track (where usually the same instrument is loaded), the Mini Sampler plays correctly (with the loop in-out points I created). On the original Mini Sampler track the sample still does not play back correctly. This thing is definitely broken. One has to apply workarounds to circumvent the errors.
If Cubasis has midi learn:hardware midi controller mapping, it would be the best . Logic and Zenbeats (despite the instability) make Cubasis an annoying and disappointing DAW. I bought it and I ended up using Zenbeats and dRambo instead. Fix it @Lars
q:
does it handle MPE well? (record/edit)
thanks
I have record the midi output of Geoshred very often without problems.
I does have some midi learning. What are you trying to do that it does not do ?
