    Cloudlab FTW!

    Oo good call, ta! 🙌

  • My pleasure! Truly an incredible piece of work

  • innovation may have peaked on iOS/iPadOS…but I could live with just Apple closing the deal on AUV3 in GB. (on busses, sends and automation)

    What @belldu said basically

It's going to take me most of 2023 just to explore what I've scooped up in 2022.

But I think I'm most excited about the possibilities for generative music.

Defo planning to get deeper into the apps I’ve already got (says he who just bought 7 new apps) - I’ll also be praying that none of the apps in my core setup turn into abandonware. Am a bit concerned about the fate of Polythemus for example.

    +1

    Turntable for scratching

This has been available for a long time now. The Mixfader also added a Bluetooth physical crossfader into the mix. YMMV but it's very much possible to scratch with it on some levels

Yes and now you can even use a DJ style USB controller to scratch audio in Drambo's Flexi sampler.

  • That would be the same method Korg would have to use in order to make all 'Gadgets' as AUv3's...
...Ie. use Gadget as the 'host container' for all the AUv3s.

So it only makes sense to have a 'Host Container' that enables/disables AUv3's visible to the other apps...

Man, I would hope they never mess with Gadget’s architecture to that extent. One of its greatest strengths is its stability, and that isn’t something that seems to come with AUv3. I’m sure they could implement AU gadgets separate to the standalone app.

All academic, of course, no feature updates are likely for Gadget at this point. Typing this was probably a massive waste of time, but just in case anyone from Korg is reading it…

    More reverbs and compressors :-)
Seriously, iOS feels great already with synths, samplers, effects, and a good choice of workflows.
It's going to take me most of 2023 just to explore what I've scooped up in 2022.

lol I’m still trying to get my head around apps I got in 2020…

I’d like to see Thumbjam as an auv3 and have it’s audio to midi feature, which Is more expressive than “midi guitar 2”, be easier to set up and re-amp with.

LogicPro for iPad! There I've said it...

And well Gadgets and Korg apps as AUv3's including the KORG Collection 4 and WaveState and OPSix...
...but I would also not be too surprised by 'Roland Cloud for iOS AUV3s'.
(They may even use ZenBeats as a container to host the AUv3's that can be used in with other apps).

But all in all it would be nice with some BIG surprises when it comes to complete DAWs.
I'm happy I've got Logic on the desktop but wouldn't mind being able to run it on my iPad when I'm on the go.

Will this happen? I don't think so...

@Sabu : “Roland Cloud for iOS using Zenbeats for a container.” From your mouth to @MatthewAtZenbeats ears, lol.
