Yeah, that just seems to be pressure sales tactics. Makes me want to just walk away every time I see that.
Yes - that should always ring an alarm bell that the product is probably not something people want to buy when they have had time to properly test it out.
Way, way, way Off Topic but massive discount to Free.
World of Dinosaurs is a free app with 38 IAPs. The Prehistoric Packs Lifetime Unlock is FREE usually $36
If you do download, go to settings in bottom left, then click on something with a lock next to it. The first IAP on first page is prehistoric packs, switch it to lifetime unlock, instead of subscription and voilà. It unlocks the whole app or at least a large majority of it, and it’s regularly $36! Enjoy. It’s actually kind of cool with immersive sounds. Great for kids!
Did you already buy the Creative Bundle?
My situation was identical to yours (as in your screenshot). I bought Creative Bundle before Twin 3 was added, and got Volcano 3 at a discount.
This now means that Volcano, Timeless and Saturn have already contrbuted to a bundle purchase, and cannot contribute to further bundle purchases, even if it's an update of a bundle already purchased. So from this point on, V,T and S are contributing $0 to the bundle completion price, which is why it's showing full price, if that makes sense?
Productivity
Audio Writer is free usually $14.99 - transcription app, does have a couple trackers
Same.
I’m curious, does the FF reverb offer anything completely unique? I have no doubt it’s amazing quality wise. I have the creative bundle and they’re my most used effects, but the TB Reverb seems hard to beat for me. Does Pro-R do anything it doesn’t?
I see
3.99/month
19.99/year
35.99/lifetime
Edit, yes i clicked on the 35.99/Lifetime bar, didn't change anything
Is it auv3?
Lol it's a dinosaur information app, not so much auv3, but there's an idea for the devs, ALLLLL THE DINOSAUR ROARS, w reverb and chorus.
Lifetime Unlock currently showing full price here (Canadian app store)
Even the first page that says prehistoric packs? Then you switch from subscription to lifetime unlock… huh maybe a USA only thing, not sure, I did it.
4P Sales
String Lab is $5 off at $9.99
Copperhead is $4 off at $8.99
Wow, very soon after release to be doing a sale already
Pro-R is best known for its cleanness, ease of navigation, and sculpting spectral decay curve. It’s best for mixing and mastering, but it’s fully capable of doing wild things.
How many reverbs do you rotate when you need to pinpoint the target sound? Do you already have reliable, clean reverbs for gluing purposes? What is your most magical-sounding reverb? What do you do to elevate voices and leads to heaven? What reverb do you use to make cymbals sound magical? What is your best tool to place an instrument in the desired space in a matter of seconds without grinding a patch library? Etc… 😅
I’ll give you the answer: There is no such thing as having too many reverbs!
There is no holy grail reverb for everything. 🤩
Wow that was fast, grabbing it
Fastest for me is DDMF MagicVerb - always get something I love really quickly. I hardly touch any other reverbs now tbh, but yes, maybe for people with more diverse reverb needs. It would not be enough!
I missed your comment, so sorry folks for taking up extra space. Yeah, I think it's a bit of an insult to those who payed full price just weeks ago. I held off because I know now that he always do a sale. He really should do intro prices to honour his loyal base.
I had a slight panic attack just reading about someone using only one reverb, haha! 😂
It's a very well-known Paul thing, you just need to wait for the sale. For some brilliant 4P apps, I deliberately buy them at full price to support Paul. Those were Euclidean, Progressions, and SB. For everything else, I waited for sales. 😅 The intro price would be great.
Even though I find it a bit strange, on reflection I think I like it. This is actually rewarding people for having a bit of self control, instead of incentivizing them to fomo in on release! That said, it's definitely counterproductive in terms of helping him to rank highly in the appstore charts on release if hardcore ios heads delay their purchases until the first sale.
Anyway, there are various ways we can interpret it, but I wonder what exactly the thinking behind it is from the dev side.
StringLab isn’t compatible with the Mac unlike many others.
Thank you my friend 🤝
It’s one of like 2 reverbs on iOS I don’t have. The other is the Envelope verb from DDMF I think.
But yes I think at this point I have one for everything lol. TB Reverb is my main but Blackhole, Cascade, Crystalline, Bleass, MagicVerb, and Stratosphere are my most used.
I think I probably need to wait 😅
Absolutely. MagicVerb is probably a top 3 reverb for me. It’s excellent.
Especially for small spaces, which is generally my preference. I'm not that into big, huge reverbs, I discovered. Sometimes yes, mostly no though
