  • Synthmaster Player IAP Sales. I’m pretty sure all the synthmaster stuff is still on sale only a few dollars higher than Black Friday.

    Korg Sale Extended

That indicates to me that their sale is going very well. They should be doing more in the iPadOS space.

I think they have done this before.

Marketing trick...you get music press coverage with the original sale announcement - then you "extend" it and get a second helping of press coverage, even though you intended the sale go beyond the original, stated end date.

This. And also it's Q4, so quarterly/annual sales targets and bonuses are on the line.

  • Utility

Text Case is free usually $2.99 - IAPs are tips only. Automatable Text Formatting

All Eventide Apps are 45% to 50% off, even if not in picture they are discounted in the App Store. Check the Bundles too!

These are the ones I’ve been waiting on. Have most of their apps already but have been waiting on a sale CrushStation and QVox.

    Remember the bundles!!

Those 2 and Ultratap and Tricera are the only ones I don’t have and unfortunately the bundles don’t offer any additional $$ off. The latter 2 seem cool, but not sure I need another tap delay or chorus. I probably don’t need CrushStation either by the dying battery type effects it can do is cool and QVox is a classic I just to want to have in my bag lol

The smearing effects UltraTap are really cool imho, not plain old multi-tap.

Related to QVox I bought TruePan so I could bring in the shifter voices from hard left and right.

Thanks, maybe I need to look into it more. I generally default to Timeless 3 for most everything or Tap Delay from Virsyn if I was just a tap delay. Doug’s demo of Ultrtap is fantastic though.

All in all I really probably don’t need any of them but I really enjoy the Eventide apps. Especially their pitch/delay algorithms.

Crushstation has its own sound. It's a digital distortion box. I don't know of another app that sounds like it. If you have both Crushstation and Saturn, you would have all distortion needs covered.

Love Saturn2! Maybe I’ll grab it then. It does seem to have a couple of unique features as well. Any thought on Tricera Chorus? It’s the only other one I don’t have but between Choric and FAC Chorus I wonder if I even need it.

I have them all but am not a fan of chorus or really any process that involves detuning. I like things to harmonize. Perhaps someone else can review it.

Went ahead and grabbed the remaining ones and yeah they’re fantastic. Especially CrushStation and UltraTap. You weren’t kidding, UltraTap is very capable of some no-so-typical tap delay sounds. Bordering on reverb and very atmospheric.

Eventide is a true pro reference as Fabfilters so you can’t be wrong only with the Fabfilter bundle and Eventide bundle you don’t need to pay other apps except 3 or 4 very good synth like Moog , Hilda. Twin 3 in the Fabfilter bundle is a top pro synth. As Fx Fabfilters saturn, Tmeless and reverb and Eventide FX what do you need more .

I don’t need to buy more apps ans as Daw Cubasis 3 and Logic IPad.

It people where serious they will not buy just to fell a GAS and they will use they’re time to master only theses apps and do like a pro. Sales are great only for Moog, Fabfilters and Eventide don’t buy more even at low prices.

  • I will add PianoTeq only if you are serious Pianist and you don’t have the budget Ravencraft 275 was a great deal

Yep the Eventide apps are great 👍🏻

  • Agreed on the above: Eventide and fabfilter have pretty much all my needs covered - with the occasional amp sim or distortion from nembrini

MOOGERFOOGERS add another layer to this too, since every one has its own ‘drive’ knob

  • Slow day…

Guitar Chords, Tabs, Scales is $7 off at $2.99 - 3D fretboard visualization, works on Mac too.

  • OT - Weather

At altitude is free usually $8.99 - track altitude, location, air pressure

  • Utility/Productivity

MDScan + OCR is free usually $4.99 - does have 1 tracker, but decent app

  • Key Finder + is free usually $1.99

  • Chord Trans is free usually $1.99

  • Photo

Circle Frames is free usually $1.99

  • edited December 2023

Maze Rider – Auto Leveling and Bass Leveler– Feel and Flow by Phan Thang are both on offer for a limited time. Both are now only 0.99 each

4Pockets have four apps on sale. The offers end December 11th.

    Surface Builder – £12.99 to £8.99
    Copperhead – £12.99 to £8.99
    NuRack – £12.99 to £8.99
    Neon Audio Editor – £12.99 to £8.99

  • 4Pockets Are always on sales at any time of the year seems to me. Just an observation I don’t use any apps from 4Pockets.

My thinking after all the big sales period is why so many apps are discounted is it just the normal way of app business or that because of the big changes coming to iOS music world in 2024 many small apps will be out of the game and not useful at all ?

    That the question

Sales is pretty common with music software in general. Happens on desktop too.

For your last question, I don’t understand at all. Why would any small apps be out of the game and not useful at all? The smaller apps are where most of the innovation and fun is. Don’t think Apple is gonna be releasing anything like Relic Waves. Not sure what possible change could come along that render all of those “out of the game” and “not useful at all”?? Weird statement…

Big changes are coming and new entry in the iOS arena , nothing to do with Apple. We will talk of that mid or end 2024. I don’t know the timing but a new era coming as 2024 will be a great year for IPad new generation. I hope the GPU use will be more useful for music apps and that Apple will remove some IPad limitations but seems possible.

Don’t forget that my moto is less apps and overlapping you have more you are efficient and creative and can know deeper each app. And year after year you add 1 or 2 apps to your studio and you know why. Sales is not important to me except to buy essential apps bundle that are very few and will last for a decade.

But if buying just apps because it is on sale just to have more apps I respect that but you become collector like the guys who collect old hardware FX ot synth in a museum room in their house 🏠 and if they are happy ok for me.

I can assure you that doesn't happen here.

Most of us here only buy 1 or 2 apps a year - just like you.
