I won’t be. lol. I’m betting you’re right. I’ve been following the AI boom for a while now, and I know you have too. I saw some music people talking about it on X, like Bedroom Producer Blog, aka BPB, and others, so I gave it a try, and liked the results. Thought I’d throw it out there for people to try, especially since it’s free, for now.

It's a potential goldmine for DAW companies to have this functionality built right in. Imagine being able to dial in anything you need at any time to make your tracks pop better.

The product of their generative music software is made to be used in Kontakt. Personally, I don't like Kontakt. And this model is essentially not very different from every other sample pack company.

I want generative music software native to the DAW, not using samples. All generated on the fly when it's needed.

Started dabbling a few years ago in Koala. Glad I stuck with one app and while I can never master a tool as expansive as Koala can be, I felt really good about the progress I had made as of late.

Can’t say I’m very good making noise, but I’m happy having fun while learning. Took creating music more seriously this year thanks to this forum’s threads and many questions I had being answered here.

Biggest accomplishment this year for me expanding creatively by far was the realization of not making myself feel as though I was behind anyone else, as comparing would steal that joy I was experiencing from stretching those creative muscles.

Recently started to expand into different apps and I’m having a blast. No expectations. Just vibing.

Cheers all! Like they said. Never too late.

Great approach tbh, Koala is so powerful, and sticking with something like that and improving in your use of it is much, much better than buying a ton of apps you barely end up using.

I like to send midi chords into it and have it spit out bass lines or melodies. Definitely worth $5 imho.
The standalone has more features then the Au, but both are cool.

Aphelian is super, but there is a bug that has been addressed before in this forum, but not fixed so far as I know.

The standalone is epic, and you can send midi from it to a DAW, ApeMatrix, pick your fave.

The AU plugin is not a full-fledged version of the standalone, but that happens, so no big deal. The problem seems to be that loading multiple instances of the plugin to generate midi doesn't work. Only the first loaded instance actually sends midi. Instances 2 thru 4 fail. Like I said, it's been mentioned here before, and I've not seen a fix to it.
