  • yeah I love Falcon too :) added that to my last post

  • It's weird how the lawyers go around shouting about the acquisition, while neither of the companies state anything about it on their website. It's usually the other way around.

    24 hour flash sale ⏰
    pad therapy by rigid audio $2.36 - $2.12 with code GIVEME10|reg. $59

Is there any way to exploit the files of a full Kontakt thing? Meaning convert, getting into the container files, extracting waves anything like this?

And who of you has Kontakt full? Great quids

    Usually, no - https://www.native-instruments.com/forum/threads/extracting-kontakt-samples.377265/

Some 3rd party libraries store samples as WAV files in separate folders, but the 'official' NI and 3rd libraries that are integrated into the Kontakt app under the 'Libraries' tab don't generally allow access to samples but if they use NCW compressed files to store samples it should be possible - https://www.strezov-sampling.com/article/ncw-to-wav.html

Did anyone have any success with extracting samples from Kontakt .ncw files?

All Arturia instruments and effects 50% off till March 2nd at Plugin Boutique

  • Are the Hornet plug-ins pretty good? I’ve been seeing them on sale a lot and like what they have to offer

Used to want Arturia emulations, but most of what they make that I wanted I’ve found from other companies for far less (Cherry Audio being just one company).

Plugin Alliance have got one of their many deals on, but this time it's not bad. 60 plugins reduced to $29.99 and buy 2, get 2 free - expires February 19th...

    From the email I got:
"Pick and enjoy 4 (!) of 60 top hits, for a total of just $59.98. Choose from the "BUY 2 GET 2 FREE" category and add 4 plugins to your cart. Only 2 plugins will be charged at checkout - you get 2 plugins for free"

I find them hit and miss but the hits are keepers. Give ‘em a demo!

Problem with Plugin Alliance is there's nothing left I would want in this offer. The only thing I'd like to have is the Kirchhoff EQ and that's excluded in this campaign and way too expensive otherwise (only a matter of time I guess).

But it makes the FabFilter guys sweat and raises the bar for the development of Pro-Q 4.

UVI Shade is incredible, but a completely different kind of beast (and pretty complex too, with a steep learning curve to make use of all of it's capabilities).

Oh, but I'm having an eye on Fluid Chords by Pitch Innovations which is also on sale for $29 at VST Alarm for the next two weeks.

Looks very interesting and I think I'll be grabbing this one.

Yeah - PA don't release / add that much new stuff - there's nothing here that I'm interested in that I haven't already got in one of their permanent sales! Just thought any newcomers to the desktop world might be interested...Fluid Chords looks cool, might take a punt on that...👍

Nice. I’m thinking of grabbing some of the unfiltered audio stuff that’s got iOS ports to have a matching set. 3 of the 5 apps are in the sale

Sandman Pro and Lion are also pretty good - and if you haven't already got it, Tantra 2 is a real bargain...

  • Yeah, there's definitely some good stuff in the PA sale, easily worth the $15 per plug, the Amek and Bettermaker EQs, Tantra and Thorn, the Neolds (U17 is the only I'm still missing), Lisa, the Unfiltereds .. to name just a few.

It's just that I already have most of what's in included in the sale due to the many sales they have.

  • Arturia "Winter Sale", 50% off Individual Software & Sound Banks until March 2 at the Arturia website (same deal as on Pluginboutique I think). I just picked up Pigments from this sale, and between that and the deal I got in January on Minifreak V and the V collection, I think I'm all good for software synths!

Ah, but not without a full Kontakt. Then I'm out of the game for a while.

  • @Proppa

I ended up trying some of the EQs and compressors and really like the sound and ended up buying about ten plug-ins hah. They do well with the analog warmth
