I ended up going with Samplewiz 2...I think I made the right choice
Actually, I'm having so much fun with it I'm gonna take back what I said about Bleass earlier. I'm still not a fan of monolit but I can get down with them now (do people still say that?)
How is Bleass compressor and reverb? Mainly looking for something affordable for vocals
Tried this? https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/room-reverb-elephantdsp-com/id1665662082
And this https://apps.apple.com/nl/app/roughrider3/id1496058931
Free.
I used Rough Rider on drums...haven't tried it on vocals yet!
Thank you for the heads up on room reverb...I saw it had IAP but didn't realize it was "just" a donation...I thought it was gonna be one of the ones where it's so restricted you might as well not even download it![ ](https://forum.loopypro.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
It’s funny how my opinion changes…I’ve been using Monolit a bunch lately lol.
Gonna get either Alpha or Megalit next… im eventually gonna get both . It depends on how we do next BandCamp Friday. I’m finding that the BLEASS apps are the easiest for me to make my own sounds with
Yes, a huge advantage of BLEASS apps is their fairly consistent UI and focus on ease of use.
Definitely… I also love the layout , and how it’s both uniform yet slightly different depending on what type of synth. Everything just feels so logical and user friendly , and stable. I’m not really a fan of most of the presets so I hadn’t thought much until it just clicked watching SFM Leo’s Omega video, which sealed the deal for me buying it . I gave Monolit another shot and I find if I copy what I played using GarageBand’s touch instrument bass guitar , I can make some heavy mean bass lines (provided I can match what I played the first time, natch lol ) . With most subtractive stuff , I’ve always struggled to make my own patches so I’ve been more of a preset surfer… no problem with FM or more abstract stuff like VCS3 or Ripplemaker) …yet I have a feeling with Alpha that’s gonna change thanks to the interface.
As far as wavetable…I’ve never used it and not familiar, so Megalit looks especially intriguing to me, but I generally don’t pay over $20 for an app (and have only spent that much twice…SampleWiz 2 and Synclavier Go). It’s Bless so it’d be worth it…but damn for $5 more I can get a Moog of some sort lol
Fusion is so good, I got 3 more: Dragonfly, Phase Mutant and Motion FX
Can’t believe I was once on the fence with Megalit 🤣
The Motion Effects one is my most used one.
I can never suggest Arpeggiator enough. Even the included synth is very good.
got granulizer and filter. the ui of these apps is just great
Megalit & Voices are amazing. I'm covered in fxs (and synths..) but tempted by Omega, Arpeggiator and Samplewiz 2.
