Also, the answer above on FriedTapeworms question about the final price is, what!?? These points makes me reluctant to invest even if I want the app.

I'm sorry that you are more used to marketing answers. I'm always honest and that can offend and surprise people. What I wrote is exactly what most companies do when launching new products. They just don't say they do.

  • Bought it, looking forward to seeing how well the midi export works

This is the kind of thing that could spur Apple to buy your company. This is fantastic.

Well, they already have Flex Pitch with Logic, but thanks for the compliment! :)

I meant they could buy you out and then fold your work into their iOS pipeline. 👍

  • Bought it! Not because the developer is the best, I really need this!

  • Yeah. I think this one is heading into essential status

I’m happy you’re considering import. I can work around it just fine.
Everything else is great, Don’t get me wrong.

I have added the 'Import audio file' option to the AUv3 mode. It will ask at which bar you want to place it. I hope that will help. After testing, I will release it (should be in a couple of days). I'll also add the paste from iOS clipboard option.

  • Can Studio do looping playback in standalone?

Not at the moment, it's primarily meant to be used as an AUv3

While testing we bumped into an interesting problem that will cause confusion and problems when we would add the import function. Please remember that it's an AUv3 effect, meaning that if you would create an empty audio track in a DAW, then add VTS as an effect and import an audio file into it, mixing down would give an error or be blocked, since there is no audio clip and the host will see the project's duration is zero. Even if you had a short clip present, it depends on the host whether it would render any audio of VTS after the clip. So it seems like it will raise more issues than it will solve. Perhaps not for you, but in general.

  • Looping would be really useful in the AUv3 too actually. I've been playing around with it over the top of percussion and getting really interesting results, would be fantastic to only have to do edits over the first 4 bars or so and have VTS loop over the those 4 bars.

Well, it's locked to the host, so if your host does looping, then VTS will too

I'm in NS2, so there's no clip looping, just looping on the main timeline.

It look like this one is only for singlenote playing and not for chord indemntifying.

You usually don't sing chords :)

  • A bit of sidetracking: this have pieces that gonna fit great for making Tomofon models. Thanks!

First of all, thank you for adding this.
Maybe it’s better if you keep the default behavior and let users change it in settings with a warning pop up when they do?
This way, if you believe most don’t need it, it shouldn’t become an issue for you, getting bad reviews and such

    P.S
Ask for people to add AppStore reviews, I’m adding mine in a sec
Some other devs mentioned it affects sales, so hopefully this will go sky high

Just out of curiosity, is it something that might be added?

  • Do you know when intro price is until.

Doubt Id sing but would need to get the mic out and see how unlike the Bee Gess, I am.

Or advice on any other vocal or midi uses.

Looping in standalone mode could certainly be added. I can see the use of that. It was actually considered during development, but at some point you have to release.

It will stay at least for 2 weeks.

    Woohoo. Sold!

  • We need a video of someone using it in a DAW. Who’s going to be the first to please the millions of us waiting?!

Well, I know something is coming, but if you look at the tutorial video of VTS being used integrated inside AEMS, I guess it takes only minor imagination of how it works in another DAW. The same except you record what's on the track first. Then it's identical.

  • @dwrae some of us are totally devoid of imagination and have resorted to using AI to form our opinions gather information and express emotional content and context

    (Kidding)

Great work great app great release

Don’t forget to rate it well on the app store

@dwrae I would reeaallly appreciate the ability to punch in record in the standalone.

I'm super interested since there's nothing like it on iOS and I use Melodyne quite often on my laptop but I'm on a GAS hiatus. If anyone is down to show off the use in Cubasis, compatibility and detection algorithm, that might actually make me break if it lives up to the hype.

I am too, curious about the length of the intro price?
