  • Nice one Doug and Jo, great news.

As long as it doesn't interfere with you making your great videos, I'm cool (beans) with it 😆

I'm not gonna say congrats as it's actual work involved but I do want to say welcome! :D

Ha! Yes, a big time commitment.

  • Congrats Doug and jo

  • but,, but... where will i get my political news from

    Hi everyone.
    Thanks for all the comments.
I have added another category called “Other Music Content.
This is where we can post things like our respects for passed musicians, and any other music content that is not represented by the other category sections.
So if your not sure where you should put a particular thread you can post it there.

  • Glad you’re aboard as mod! I watch your channel somewhat obsessively 😎

  • Good music on all the timezones

  • Congrats Jo and Doug!

  • I for one welcome our new overlords.

    Thanks for this.

  • I have been off for some days and seems like everything is different.
But glad to have familiar faces as mods too. Cool beans!

  • Not that I'm big on rules, but it might be good to have a single post with some guidelines as to what's not appropriate here. As simple as possible, but some touchstone that people could be referred to if one feels a post crosses that line rather than engaging. I would think three or four brief bullet points would do it.

Might save our new mods some time.

  • @wim There is a pinned post at the top of all threads on the main homepage that Michael made.
That cover’s basically the changes, and what is allowed and what is not😊
Most things won’t change at all.

I read that post. At the time I read it, it was very general. I was thinking of something a little more specific. However, it's possible it's been modified since I read it. I made the mistake of dismissing it with the gear-icon thingy after reading. Not sure how to get it back now. 😂

Can someone send me a link?

  • @wim 😂🤣 no worries, here it is.
    Hi!

This community is all about making music, with a focus on the iOS music world. Please keep all content related to music and music-making.

We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and valued. Insulting, bullying, or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated. Feel free to flag inappropriate content.

Welcome to the Audiobus forum, and have fun!

  • I don’t mind little changes, but I hope our weekly bingo and wet t-shirt contest will not be discontinued. I kinda live for that.

  • Thanks - yeh, I think something a little more specific might be useful. But you're right, it does cover all the needed ground.

Can anyone send a link to that post? I want to see if I can get it visible again. That little gear thingy lets you hide it pretty good.

I miss the "what are you reading/watching/listening to" threads. Are discussions of the non-musical arts now verboten?

For example, I'm watching this clip, which has music in it, but not for the music. I just love the cinema.

Might have to start a new Gelato-only thread.

  • It’s nice to see the positive developments that happen around here. Seldom a day without something interesting going on. We’ve got a nice bunch of mods. The best to everyone who participates in this place of iOS wonder.

    Fantastic. Thank you!

Just a thought: there’s a bunch of stuff under Off Topic that is directly music related, and I’m wondering if there’s mileage in maybe having a couple of extra categories? Someone’s already mentioned Music Theory, and I’m wondering about something like an Inspirations category for posting links to videos/sites/books/articles people have found inspirational.

    NB thoughts here, not demands!

    @Svetlovska said:
    @bygjohn : I second that. I already PM’ed @Michael to that effect.

    Some very good points!

I agree. I bought a new shirt specifically for this week too!

  • Great to hear!

I wonder if this is related to the new sample-based piano app, JAX AudioLawyer? 😢

    LOL.

  • Great choice for mods. Welcome Doug & Jo! @Michael - way to keep it in the fam! 🎉👏

  • Nice news. I do enjoy the Doug and Jo sho

  • I will say that Doug's former website was the pinnacle of app sales alerts in its heyday. His channel is top quality work for entertainment, info, inspo, etc. He and Jo definitely have the chops, experience, and qualifications to keep our forum a nice place to be. And of course Doug is simply a nice person. Thumbs up. :)

  • Glad you guys got resettled and things are upbeat enough to take on this job.
