Ok, it seems recent iOS added a new delegate method to UISplitViewController to return the allowed orientations. AudioShare uses a splitviewcontroller, but AUM does not, so that explains it. I'll fix this for the next update, but not that it only works on iPhone models without the notch, since those devices do not support upside-down orientation.

    Thanks!🙏🏻

@j_liljedahl , Any news about the update? It’s very difficult, almost impossible to record upside down when using the zoom iQ7 or. when putting the iPhone in the piano stand with the lightning cable connected

Sorry, I totally forgot about this. It's fixed in beta, (for older phones without a notch only). Will try to get the update out soon!

  • Is it possible to add an ftp mode? Http only allows downloading one file at a time. Being able to use ftp would allow me to just drag and drop multiple folders

  • I’d like to report a bug. I’m having an issue with the files and folders. When i play a file and then go back out of a folder to the previous level the app immediately puts me back into the folder i just exited. I hope this makes sense. It’s like a phantom click/press is happening. I can override it by closing the app but it happens every time (i have to keep closing and opening).

  • I have an issue too. I use Blocswave to send my samples over to from my Audioshare files. I have done this same thing for years now. Now the Blocswave folder is not populated in the send to list and I cannot find the BW app anywhere. I never could figure out how some folks have AS in an apple file as mine never had showed up in there. I don't know hiw to fix this myself. I have contacted the Dev. Cheers, ED

If you don’t see Audioshare listed as a location in Files, tap on the three dots at the top of the files browser and choose edit. AudioShare should show up in the providers list.

It's not an AudioShare issue, but caused by iOS. @espiegel123's steps above are the solution.

However, even then it's possible for an app not to show up if you have more than a certain number of apps that can use that file type. Then you're hosed. The only workaround is to uninstall some apps one at a time until the one that you need shows in the list. Then you can proceed with the steps above and finally reinstall those apps.

There's nothing that @j_liljedahl can do to change this.

  • Hi Again, YES! espiegel123's tip did the trick to get AudioShare to view again in my files folder. THANK YOU! I deleted all apps in AS manually and the Blocswave app never came up again as an option to reload Back in again. It looks like I deleted as much as the apple ecosystem allowed me to do in the AS app folder. Do you peeps have any other workaround idea how to get Blocswave back listed into my AS file options in order to share my musical samples and music files back and forth with Blocswave? Thanks this ish has been driving me bonkers. Excuse time lag on this as I to unexpectedly switch Internet providers and it has been nothing but a big headache since. Thank you all for your helpful IOS app insights and extensive apple knowledge on this craptastic apple file system. Cheers, ED

I/m not sureI understand these two sentences.

Deleted apps in AudioShare? Do you mean that you pressed the Edit button and turned off some apps? And Blocs Wave still isn't showing in the longer list?

If so then my earlier post comes into play. Blocs should show in the longer list of items if you scroll down. If it doesn't then you have more apps that can use that file type than Apple will display in that list.

So ... you have to uninstall some apps until Blocs finally comes into the long list. After it comes into the long list then you can add it to the shorter list with the + button. Note: you will need to exit AudioShare and re-enter it after each uninstall to get the updated list.

Once you have Blocs available and added with the + button you can reinstall the apps you uninstalled.

I hope that makes it clearer than my earlier post.

  • Yes Wim it does make it much more sende and is clearer now. That was exactly my query and you nailed it. Thank you ever so much. I would be hosed without your wisdom. Off to do this! Cheers, ED
