if we showed this much enthusiasm towards when a forum member shares a song they created, we would all be extremely wealthy.

Im guilty, i know ive glanced over a share thread more than once.

  • So, did we figure out anything about this app?

Maybe we discovered that the real app was the friends we made along the way?

    Must be huge..

  • Really hoping it’s ValhallaDSP and they sell the plugins at same price as desktop. Think it’s time that developers sold their plugins at proper pricing. Maybe then more “big names” would get involved and smaller developers would get paid what they are due.

If it is Valhalla and they sell it for half the cost of the desktop app will you send them the extra 50% you think they should have?

Tip jar… absolutely. Valhalla are renowned for never having a sale as their plugins are priced very competitively… maybe they might be the first to actually price accordingly.

The fact we pay so little versus desktop is a privilege and not a right. A lot of mobile apps are just as complex as their desktop equivalent and if they are the same, then why not pay more for them? Just because they are on mobile isn’t a reason.

That’s just my view, I’m all for supporting developers and I think it’s about time we paid what they are worth. If people don’t want to pay that, then that’s ok… they can either go to desktop where they will pay more (and have more options) or not buy the app. Up to them.

  • The trumpet shakes with great discord.
An agreement broken: the sample library will fly to the fruit:
    the apple will sing with a thousand voices;
The library will fill with melancholic fire.

There, I told you; Nostradamus says it will be spitfire. Case closed

Wouldn’t mind that at all… just not sure how they will get over the memory limitations of iPad.

Yeah you have a very good point.
    I would hope it’s something else, but I have a feeling… maybe/hopefully I’m wrong.

Not the place for this discussion.

I don’t think it will be spitfire as the technical limitations will be too much to overcome. (But always willing to be proved wrong).

    +1.

Isn't there a rule about not posting controversial stuff?

  • @ik2000 : not looking to have a discussion. Just reminding people that some devs may not be worth some people’s money. Your mileage may vary, of course.

  • I don’t think it will be Spitfire either.
And, yes, there is a rule for posting controversial stuff.

    By posting a controversial video.

Putting the word "just" in there doesn't give you an exemption.

  • You could maybe, I dunno, not watch it?

Maybe you have to, I dunno, watch it first to discover that the content is controversial.

  • Damn - I guess it’ll be a physical modeling type „synth“

  • My guess. It’s a colab between Gavinski, Leo, Jakob Haq, Doug, Bram Bos, Cem and Merek on the ultimate all in one iOS app that we knew we never needed.

  • Well his snippet generated interest, so now that the audience is listening , wouldn’t it be time to drop another nugget?

I think whatever it is should definitely show a little leg at this point before this forum tears up the dev and app on sheer principle lol, I’m new but it was funny to see 10 pages in 2 days about nothing, making me think this was not the only attempt at a surprise reveal…strange post Ali, but lets go back on topic , eh everyone?

We want nuggets!! Anyone else with me? NUGGETS, NUGGETS…..#appNuggets

Snoogins (if that was ever relevant use of that reference, I think I at least found it in my life)

For those who are interested, Freakshow Industries have plans to port to the iOS platform in the nearby.
They first need to finish what they are working on before focusing on auv3. Absolutely weird and deranged stuff, love it: https://freakshowindustries.com/

  • Just a question to all : what is missing really on the iOS music as app ? (Not included Daws and brands)

Fantastic, I’d love to have their stuff running on the iPad!

Going back a bit, but I’m still surprised to see how hostile people get when they consume FREE CONTENT and it turns out to be an ad. Like, I understand that the internet has become a constant onslaught of “buy buy buy,” but if you’re sick of it, take a tech break and play with the gear you already have. I frequently have to log off because I’m tired.

Especially in the iOS sphere, where devs and “influencers” alike tend to be enthusiastic, dedicated, and underpaid. This isn’t the biscuit company recommending you buy more biscuits — it’s people creating things that help people create things.

Anyhow, all this to say I hope that this big brand pays everyone a ton of money to promote this launch, and once they’re here, I hope they don’t take too much oxygen away from the OGs. There’s definitely room for bigger players, but they’d better leave space for Hilda!

    Something like serato sampler.

If you could cross an app like samplr with the serato time/pitch shifting algo and have ios touch surface editing and performance automation that would be a winner.
