  • Did someone say toontrack? If so that would be cool I agree. mdrummer? Good guesses I think, I would be into a real ez drummer or Sd3…( I mean people used to argue Drumperfect Pro was that for iOS but it sucks) and I love EG pulse and people like digistix so it’s not like “woah!!!” Amazing . I would still buy a toontrack AUv3 just for the brand, so if that’s it’s , this worked on me

But on another note, As someone said quite logically, we don’t really need a new DAW on iOS, and add to his other point that almost every AUv3 exists on some level, there’s so many amazing synths (esp something like Drambo) so without a nugget, this is just annoying and a ploy huh? Am I wrong?

I like the way I read it. I think the way it was put was, what are we lacking on iOS ?

((My take is, Clearly not DAWs or AUV3 I am satisfied with what I have and I’m absolutely stunned and amazed at the level of iOS production in terms of both synths, modeled, and everything in between production. It IS as good, perhaps not as easily accessible as older hardware, but I can’t believe what iOS production offers.))

Anyway a nugget was due in my view While ago lol

  • Hell no - mdrummer‘s library would kill my iPad

  • But a modernized (Touch-optimized) (expert) GUI & cr(iOS)s - release of some things would be awesome

  • I bet it’s Nike. Or maybe Ferrari.

  • Nike is it high end ?

  • MPC X SE just launched for the ip...

    Never mind. Wrong universe.

I hope its u-he. Dunno if they’re classed as high end, but I’d pay big for repro-5

    They wouldn’t go near iOS.

Really hoping it’s ValhallaDSP and they sell the plugins at same price as desktop. Think it’s time that developers sold their plugins at proper pricing. Maybe then more “big names” would get involved and smaller developers would get paid what they are due.

If it is Valhalla and they sell it for half the cost of the desktop app will you send them the extra 50% you think they should have?

Tip jar… absolutely. Valhalla are renowned for never having a sale as their plugins are priced very competitively… maybe they might be the first to actually price accordingly.

The fact we pay so little versus desktop is a privilege and not a right. A lot of mobile apps are just as complex as their desktop equivalent and if they are the same, then why not pay more for them? Just because they are on mobile isn’t a reason.

That’s just my view, I’m all for supporting developers and I think it’s about time we paid what they are worth. If people don’t want to pay that, then that’s ok… they can either go to desktop where they will pay more (and have more options) or not buy the app. Up to them.

They don’t have sales and presumably enjoy their profits. I wonder how they’d reconcile that with apple’s cut…

Would you pay $£€65 on iOS?

An agreement broken: the sample library will fly to the fruit:
    the apple will sing with a thousand voices;
The library will fill with melancholic fire.

There, I told you; Nostradamus says it will be spitfire. Case closed

Wouldn’t mind that at all… just not sure how they will get over the memory limitations of iPad.

They won’t get over them. They’ll make an app which works within them, and which will accordingly be disappointing to those who make a fuss about such compromises, while still being perceived as a prestige product on account of the brand. And it probably would be good. Just not as good as people might want. But SA would only have to make something half decent for it to sell reasonably.

Not too much - you can, but you don’t have to. Sure you have to wrap your brain around the app a little bit, but - it is really handsome to use and - I Already love it. There are so many possibilities that Beat Scholar offers. some time ago, I‘ve talked to them in a YouTube
Session. And they are really responsive and openminded. Really friendly and innovative guys with musical background

  • The 'high-end brand' really needs a better definition...
Is that defined by niche boutique apps or something big-names do paid endorsements for?!

  • 11 pages (so far) of speculation on this? LOL.

  • Beat Scholar is a lot of fun, and it's cool to see it'll be on iOS. Great find @Nathi94.

Same here, but more competition is not a bad thing.

Hope it won't be too long.... been really looking forward to this one.
Don't mind paying a premium for a top shelf app like this one hopefully will be.
