  • Yes! Super excited for this one. Won’t be able to try it until later tonight but it looks excellent.

Cascade on top of Virtual ANS is a sweet combo. Can’t wait to use it with Spacecraft 2 once it drops.

Have you been following recent threads brother? The word lush is verboten here. 😂

Great… I missed a chance to defend the “Right to be a Lush”. So, lushes have been de-platformed?

(What? Oh… lush as in velvety, smooth sounding).

    Oh.

Great… I missed a chance to defend the right to use music to smooth the savage beast(s).

I think the ABF is caught in a war between generations and my team is dropping like flies.
Anti-lush folks… just be patient. We will provide some amusement and frustration on the way out.

This app has a lot of what I typically look for when I try various Reverbs. It has a lot of the Juju of FAC Alteza and the other Reverb++ apps.

  • Gav. Your Demo is sublime. It stands on its own as an ambient piece.

Haha. Lush, for me, is definitely not an annoying term. Maybe I'm not hanging in the same circles as those it offends.

I will roll my eyes 👀 big time at the constant insincere use of 'lit' and 'fire' in those Unison Audio vids. Great terms originally, done to death by 30-something white guys trying to market their product to 20-something guys who want to be hip.

    Cringe

(yes, this term is also verboten 😂. But yes, cringe)

Thank you so much brother! Now imagine what a real piece of music rather than a mere preset demo could do. The mind boggles!

$19 intro price for Mac / Windows - not bad at all! Still makes me glad I'm ios only!

I used it to create some cool rhythmic movement on a drum track and then tried to recreate the sound with one of my many other reverb plugins. I failed, badly. So I had to buy it for the PC as well. Will most likely get more use than the iOS version from me.

CASCADE By @phonolyth #YuriTurov Released | Mellow Tweaking Demo

A factory preset and tweaking demo for Cascade - a gorgeous reverb and diffusion processor for iOS / Mac / Windows by Yuri Turov / Phonolyth with a very experimental vibe.

See the YT pinned comment for more info.

I just want to point out that Yuri is one of the coolest developers ever. Just look at how awesome these apps are. I am buying this sight unseen, and without even reading this comment thread.

  • Lol, I bought this on a whim cause I haven’t bought an app in months and it was only a fiver. Then I heard @Gavinski s tutorial. It’s very fun. I especially like the hush swipes that keep popping up. Very good track, Gav. It is, indeed, very musical!

  • I really love the app icon.

  • @Gavinski thanks for presets demo. I thought about skipping this released but your video got me convinced. Cheers

  • just to remind you that
    lush could be changed for
    silky smooth
    anytime:)

  • Way more fun than Blackhole for the fraction of the costs, and you can reach that same kind of depth and all possible weird modulations in between. Lots of adjustments to make. Also metallics, delays, plates, freeze, cool for percussion or greater than life ambience. What a superb reverb for such a small price.

    @israelite @LinearLineman nice one!

@Slush - yes, must be the best value quality experimental reverb on the App Store, by a long stretch.

Does sound it. My only concern when I get new apps is it can sometimes make previous purchases redundant - I think Alteza I bought a few days ago is safe, not so sure about my 97 other reverbs though…

    Yes, I see.
I also got Alteza a few weeks ago. Honestly, in the “long tail” area, Alteza is great and you will not get really different results with Cascade. Furthermore, Alteza can do pitch shifting, which Cascade can’t.
So having Alteza, there is no urge to get Cascade. But Cascade is more versatile I think in the “short delay” area.
And overall, the sound quality of Cascade is great and the price is so… low 😅 . So why bother ?

I’m going to the pub tonight - that’s my treat!

I do like this one, it’s a bargain, but as I said to @Paulo164 I’m wary of making my other reverbs redundant. For example when I was thinking about buying Alteza last week, I checked to see if I was replicating anything I already had. The closest was probably, Velvet Machine, but then I hauled out TB Reverb - and I suddenly realised I had hardly used that one at all since buying it, but it’s actually a stunningly good, versatile reverb.

    But I still bought Alteza.

I think it’s a bit frustrating for those of us who’ve been collecting apps for a long time, seeing the new fellers playing with their new fangled apps that are slightly better than the stuff we already have.

Not quite GAS, more like FOMO.

So despite my protests, and usual over-thinking about it, I’ll probably buy this one too!!

I’m just thinking also, how much would people pay for this if it was boutique guitar pedal?😛 Hella more than $5 bucks - probably $300+?

Funnily enough I have my eye on the Neunaber Illumine, which is over £400, sort of puts things into perspective!

Don’t go there! This and a few other plugins wil likely get you where you want to go haha

LOVE this! Solid, great interface design, and sounds amazing!

Great for experimental sound design too :)

Definitely taking a cue from Unfiltered Audio I think, which is wonderful as they have some of the best UI designers around. And yet Yuri did this on his own?! Major kudos. And yes, the sound….can really be a stairway to heaven. Extremely blissful, very pure. As much as I love UA Silo, mentioned earlier, it can’t touch this for these kind of clean, ecstatic sounds.

I have 3 of the UA apps. I do love them too, but I find the interface for Cascade much more intuitive. And the sound seems a little more complex and lush to me.

Have you been following recent threads brother? The word lush is verboten here. 😂 But yes, lush it is! Silo is definitely a harder sound. They both have their place, but I love the clear, smooth richness of the Cascade sound. Delectable!

That is, like, totally Dorset-phobic! (And I have a friend who works for Lush-the-co). Offensive! 😂

If Cascade is like a variation/expansion on Blackhole I’m very tempted but bought a Euro module this morning lol.

    This.

  • @Gavinski Thanks :)
@MadGav In my opinion it is definitely an expansion of Blackhole, it can sound much alike and do a lot more, from small to infinite. And besides a reverb it’s very much an fx on its own.

I thought the prices were way too cheap too... but just noticed this is intro pricing. Regular price will go up to $7.99

Great intro pricing for both iOS and desktop! I have no idea how long the intro pricing lasts
