We've just submitted an update with the fix for iOS 8 (updating to Audiobus 2) as well as a handful of small improvements based on user feedback:
Werkbench is back in somewhat of a regular development cycle and our lines are open. As always, feel free to share ideas here in the AB forum or e-mail us at [email protected].
Cheers!
Good stuff! Looking forward to that.
Glad to hear you're alive and (somewhat) kicking. I think this app looks like a small Austrian tea room, but it can taste like a five star restaurant with a little patience.
@johnnyGoodyear - I had to look up Austrian tea rooms and you're completely right
Thanks. One of the greatest samplers/sequencers.
does Werkbench work as IAA?
I would love for a few Randomizer buttons for some of the features....sequencer, fx, pattern etc and come up with new patterns automatically....
With AB state saving , it would be fun to load the shared projects with all presets as sounds too !!
Thanks for the update!!
@thepinkelefant randomize for the 'per-step' parameters is a very good idea. I've actually mocked it up in our edge build. Very fun with the pan and high-pass filters!
Wow, that 'small improvements' list is pretty much my entire wishlist! Thank you so much.
Actually, one more: init pattern would be handy.
+1 for the init pattern.
Updated!
What's New in Version 2.1.0
sweet
Indeed. Thanks @KarlBolasol!
Nice! I missed this one on iOS8.
Thanks. Renaming is great.
But I struggle on sampling apps via AB as before, only live input. Is it me?

@Peanutcram Is your threshold low enough?
Werkbench was 260MB on my ipad. Deleted 2 sets, 1 set remaining and still 222MB...
Perhaps it saved the exported recordings, although I always choose 'audiocopy' as share option (never iTunes).
Is there a way to delete these from within the app?

I tried different levels of threshold wich effects the mic input. In AB chain WB shows 'port unavailable' but other apps work with that. Do you get a clean samples through AB? Thanks for help
@Peanutcram I got the 'port unavailable' thing too first time after this update. It happens with quite a few apps for me so its probably an AB bug. But it's working now. I think I just took it out of the output, put it in the second AB lane output, where it was looking good so I took it out and put it back into the first one and no more 'port unavailable'. So that's how I solved it but maybe a reboot would work as well.
I will check that later and use mic for now. The good thing on the ios mess is I blame apple or AB and don't stick too long on problems. That even pushes my creative flow. Thanks for help.
no problem
How does the MIDI slave work? Is that only for hardware? I would like to tempo-sync it with some effect apps - I never tried that before since WerkBench is enough fun on its own. If it's not possible than that's my feature request and/or a IAA integration - maybe that's better for tempo sync(?)

I'd love MIDI slave too and am confused about how it works. Tried to run Werkbench through Effectrix and couldn't sort it out. Midibus didn't help either.
That said, this app is fun as hell -- wow. So glad I bought it! Proper MIDI sync and export loops to Audioshare would make this a five start app.

Looks like sending clock to Werkbench from Auria and Cubasis both work well enough, so there's that, at least.
(lol you just quoted yourself)
Definite plans to let Werkbench be the MIDI master clock in the future as well. MIDI implementation overall needs some expansion (mapping, etc).

Sounds great! Please also consider bidirectional Audioshare integration (import, export).
Thanks for making such a great and fun app!
Bidirectional audiosharage would be lovely.
who's using werkbench, love it but wish we could change skins.
+1
Not used it lately but I do remember how much fun I had with it.
