Someone here had an import problem with Nave two years ago:
https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/45460/how-to-import-a-nave-presets-bank-solved/p2
@seonnthaproducer had created an iOS shortcut as a solution (download link is still active).
After installing it, it appears in the file sharing menu.
You have to edit it first, of course, to use the app you want (in your case, change it from Nave to Tera Pro). I've been successful with this shortcut on several apps, but don't remember if I needed it for Tera Pro. It's been a while, so I don't remember if it works only with zips, or with all types of files.
But in any case, you can use this shortcut to import files into (all?) apps that are no longer displayed by the file system.
Good luck trying it out.
Thanks a lot, will try that later!
Nice update! Maybe we should start the 7 day XinematiX challenge thread
After trying out a few packs I can safely say they sound fantastic and there’s definitely gonna be a handful I want. Not all are useful for me but for weird otherworldly noises, some of the preset packs are fantastic. The Behind the Orchestra patch from Alien FX is wonderful.
Does anyone know about the bonus library for free thing? Is this saying if you buy one you get another free? Or is there 1 free one that comes with any purchase?
After demoing more packs for a couple hours, I’m having second thoughts. For the price of one, you can get multiple packs in Module (for the experimental stuff) that sound just as good. I wish there was a way to say, pay $20 and be able to pick patches from each pack. As it stands, there’s no single pack where I could see myself using them all and I can’t justify $20 on just 2-4 sounds.
Presets in some packs are a bit on the samey side, yes
Yeah it’s kinda unfortunate as I think it’s really cool to have high quality sounds like this on iOS and some of them are VERY good. But every pack I’m looking at is $15-$25 and there’s only a handful from each I could see myself using. Maybe the dev will implement something to get around that but it doesn’t feel likely.
I mean at those prices you’re basically paying $1+ per sound so I’d even be open to buying some individually compared to spending a $20 on 3-4.
Being able to buy individual sounds would be great, but aside from any other factors, I’m sure it would be a major pain in the balls to set up the IAPs for that. As it is, it already has 60+ IAPs, quite a lot of work to set up for the dev I’m sure. Although generally not a fan of subs, maybe a very reasonably priced subscription, with new stuff being added regularly, would actually make most sense for all concerned with XinematiX.
This appears to be a fantastic app. I’m addicted to samplers and sample sounds. However, I cannot afford all the presets I would like to use. I believe the devs deserve all money they can get after Apple takes its 30%. I just can no longer afford apps that are $10 or more. I realize prices will increase and that’s great for the devs. Some of us out here can no longer afford to pay, though. I don’t know how many people face the same situation, especially in this economy. Good luck to the devs!
BTW, app store link is seriously flawed. Download almost impossible.
Appstore fee is 15% now for devs getting less than $1 million in sales per year, which would include almost all music app devs. 30% fee only applies to devs with sales higher than $1M
Thanks, I stand corrected.
I think the preset packs are too expensive. It would be easy to break the bank at $20 a pack. I could buy a really nice synth app for $20. But that’s just me. Others might find it a bargain. BTW the store link for trial pack downloads in the app does not work. Guess I will delete and move on.
If the App Store link was bad and the demo downloads didn't work then I guess you have a problem with the internet connection. From which region do you try downloading?
Thank You.
The samples are the best You Can get for IPad right now.
Bonus samples for free are a fine way to keep customers satisfied.
Yeah I think you’re right. not sure if the dev would be up for that or not, but considering the amount of people saying they can’t afford it or it’s too expensive, it may be the best option.
Same Hot Strange. I would REALLY love the pick & chose option too! But I do I have issues: I get a lot of consistently "no sounds" in the 3 preset windows when using the random dice player. Or the same presets showing up over and over with very little real randomisation happening. I also get a lot of no sound in my selected presets suddenly at all. After selecting what I want to hear the sounds go silent so I have no way to hear what other sounds may actually sound like. I have contacted Harry. My trial is just about up. But the no sound thing is a real bummer. Anyone else experiencing these same things? Cheers, ED
Hmm so you’re not getting any sound even while still in the trial period? Are you using it standalone? As the demo is only available that way.
Have you bought any packs yet? It sounds great but still haven’t jumped the gun on it yet.
Thanks Hot Strange I was using it inside of AUM. The standalone version works! I never would have known that. Can one record with it in Standalone mode? I have not bought any packs yet as I could not hear enough. Will test her out now. Cheers, ED
Unfortunately you can’t record with it. You could screen record and then use that as a loop or sample elsewhere though.
Oh OK, thanks for the info. Kinda limits the app without it though given the considerable potential investment ask of buying the packs. Thats really a shame. Cheers, ED
But if you actually buy packs you can use them in the auv3, so of course you can then record the output like that of any other instrument. It's only the demo versions that are only accessible in standalone.
Ah thank you so much for the clarification Gavinski! I was wondering about that as well. Thank you both for the tremendous help and tips. All clear now! Cheers, ED
I have the entire Xinematix library for the iPad. Is it worth downloading for iPhone? Any issues? I know it’s a massive library, so thinking of downloading select sounds. Is the entire library the same file size for the iPhone? Thanks so much
I haven’t tried it for iPhone but I imagine it’s fine. All other Virsyn apps I have for iPhone work great.
I’m curious though, how much storage is the full amount of IAPs taking up on your iPad?
And what did it cost you?
lol equally important question 😆
