A few things:

I don't find the 'last opened' option in file player works as I would expect. I think what it might be doing is showing when something was last opened in audioshare, but to me, showing when something was last opened in aum would be ideal.

I'd also prefer if folders were not always listed above single files in this view, which seems to be the case.

Really though, what would be most useful would be a search bar in the file player app.

It works for me. Note that it will only be able to see the "last opened" time for files you opened since this update, because that metadata isn't updated by default on iOS (for some reason).

Thanks, @j_liljedahl for keeping AUM all sharp and pointy for us Team AUM true believers in a post-Logic (indeed, post-logic) world!

I will confess my heart leaped when I saw it had been updated. “At last!”, I thought. “8 fader view! Fader & button automation!” Ah well.

I’m interested in AUM. I see so many people using it here I’m wondering what I’m waiting for . Next sale I think I must add to my DAW to see if I can also make songs in it

It's already very cheap for what it is I think. No subscription and no updates to date have ever required an IAP purchase.

It’s modular, so to do MIDI recording you need a plug-in that does it, eg Atom, Helium. Automation seems to be an issue at the moment, but it’s down to what the plug-ins feature, not AUM itself.

And yes, it has MIDI learn.

On the price, I don’t think it’s ever gone on sale, but I could be wrong on that. It’s definitely worth the full price anyway. If you’re used to linear DAWs it may seem a strange way to work at first, but once you figure it out (check out @Gavinski ‘s comprehensive video), it opens up whole new possibilities. And you can record stems for transfer to a linear DAW for further work later, if you need to.

in Logic, so I can still use the mixing and routing environment of AUM, but still be able to record in Logic?

No. An auv3 host cannot be hosted inside another auv3 host. This is why it would also be impossible for Logic to be hosted in AUM. Loopy Pro can be hosted by other hosts, but not in the form of an auv3 host itself. These are just limitations of the OS, not any fault of the devs. Would be amazing tho!
