Although I would gladly buy IAP or even a complete ‘AUM 2’ were it ever to add the aforementioned automation and mixer view.

Yes, I'm hoping to add various timeline-based features (AUM DAW?) in the future, and those will be in the form of IAPs.

I am in. AUM is the only app that I can say I open every single day. Sent a tip @j_liljedahl. Thanks for the awesome work

But when I plug in my op-1 I still can’t choose to use the iPad speakers. Wtf man!!! Fix this.

If you go to settings in AUM you can't choose the op-1 as output route?

yea but not speaker route. In Logic I can do either. I know it’s possible for them to do this but for some reason then won’t. Maybe they have a deal with Apple or something. It’s frustrating that something so simple can’t be done. My only work around is to open Logic first and choose the speaker as output there and then AUM automatically does it when opened. This is ridiculous to have to have this work around though.

    No

Hmm... Email the dev I guess
Edit : in the above post I meant to write 'choose the iPad speakers as output'. I don't know why choosing op1 as input in settings and iPad speakers as output wouldn't work. I think it should.

Yep you would think in 2023 this would be an option.

  • Damn
Will now spend my spare time constantly looking towards a AUM major upgrade
    Happy to pay for this
This news is as big as logic , perhaps bigger !!
    Can’t wait

Jonatan explained elsewhere that the OS enumerates available input devices but not output devices. So, a host doesn’t have a way of providing a choice … if I understood what he was saying.

Whatever mechanism Logic uses seems not available to developers in iOS 16 or has not been documented.

Someone mentioned a session at the developer conference indicating that there are no APIs in iOS 17 that change that.

  • Paid 9 dollar for AUM back in early 2016, and still enjoying my 9 bucks - AUM is really great!

Perhaps Jonathan could made some IAP sooner than later…

  • Please add multi window support so that we can make good use of stage manager on ipad with external displays. Let us break plug-ins out into windows etc

    Could use the tip jar..

  • I really don’t get the excitement of this update? What exactly does it do different? What am I missing. Still can’t change audio out.

You never cherish and support something that you like and it’s a vital component in your hobby/profession?!

This update is very minor. People are more excited about what's coming next

  • Well, if we are in minor improvements, it would be great that, when replacing an app, we could immediately access the search engine. It drives me nut each time I want to replace an instrument or a fx I have to go up in the list of app (and I have a lot) to access the search engine that is on top of the list

I’m excited whenever I open AUM and see that ‘+’ button in the middle of the screen. 🤩 Ok, sounding like cringe fanboy, I will leave now…

…or, every update to every app we have, is a celebration that the developer is alive!

Agree for some apps it is now my feeling , the dev is still alive and the app too.

I know some apps doesn’t need maintenance but I prefer a minor fix , important for some user, than nothing for years.

    Peace

  • On the subject
It’s annoying to create a channel, choose file player, it then hops out of the menu, and then I have to tap again, to get back to the menu to select a file etc, if I choose file player, I want to select a file, so this is extra taps that aren’t required
Might sound petty, but it’s damn annoying
But this is still my go to app
    So big respect to @j_liljedahl

  • Don’t get me wrong I love AUM but I was just wondering why all the hype is all. This and Loopy pro are amazing!!!

    I don't understand your problem...

You can drag down to search:

Compare that to Cubasis or Audio Evolution Mobile, where you have to scan the list from top to bottom to find something!

It is the "replace" function I am talking about I am sorting my apps by name meaning that when I choose replace, the list displays the current app. If it is Xinematix and you want to search for Bleass then you have to scroll up to the top to have the possibility to enter "Bleass" in the search engine...hope it is more clear now

I don’t have to do that?

I hit replace, swipe once to show the search and done.

I think I understand. In my workflow I hit "replace" then I choose "Audio unit extension" and here AUM display the actual app on the list. And if I want the search engine, then I have to scroll up to the top.

What I have to do is hit "Replace" and directly use the search engine without going into the "Audio unit extension"...

Only disadvantage is that it will display the IAA apps too

    Thanks All, problem solved
