  • And the video demo shows lots happening in the app, but with no change to the sound which is bizarre. Im guessing potential buyers want a demo of what the app is actually doing, rather than a slick video demo with random background music?

Looks quite powerful though … l hope the dev can polish up the marketing and communication about this app.

  • Price is tempting, but what can it deliver, looks good. Review please!

  • I haven’t found many reviews beyond a couple of vids. It’s tempting to get this one on desktop because it says it’s low on cpu and my laptop sucks. :)

You can also transfer the presets between ios and desktop if you want to for any reason.

  • Hi Everyone!

We're really happy to see all the buzz here, we appreciate the support & feedback!

I wanted to reach out and make sure we replied to a couple of these concerns, but if I miss anything let me know and don't hesitate to contact me in a DM, or support directly with the link below.

First off, if you're interested, check out the manual at the link below and on the product page. This will be included with the future downloads in a more in-your-face way to make things a bit more smooth.

A few presets to start with would not have hurt. Not one bit!
Might be pretty heavy on the CPU, depending on the build of course but I came to three slots when the despised sparkles started in AUM, I did use an already heavy project so. I'll start clean, see what gives😬

Yes! We do have Factory Presets and while I see they were posted here above, but these are also included on the product page on the site (link below).

If you need any help with the iOS presets, check out the FAQ. This should help get things cleared up, I've been working on some major improvements for the preset system since it was really designed for Mac/PC.

We are pulling more content together as we speak. Between some direct stuff, and reviewers, we should have some great stuff. Stay tuned.

I really wasn't sure how many users listened back to the videos on the App Store, but I completely understand how this could be the quick way to hear an example. I'll get this updated as soon as I can. I'm not sure if Apple will require an update for this, so keep an eye out.

Below are our current example videos, iOS and Mac/PC share the exact same sound, so the sound will still apply. When we do get new reviews, we'll feature them here as we go.

@OSC_Audio: Edited: It sounds pretty good so far - the strength of it for me is chaining things very quickly and the interface is very convenient for that - fun. I’ll let others weigh in on the quality of the individual effects themselves.

Bad points - the drop down menus often don’t work - can anyone else confirm? I am often having a very hard time selecting items from these menus on iOS. Also, the saving frankly sucks as others have alluded to in kinder ways could be improved. I would prefer that user presets be in the app itself.

  • This looks and sounds delicious. Only question how is it on cpu/DSP generally speaking?

  • Welcome @OSC_Audio Congratulations on the release! Thanks for sharing the manual and jumping in the forum. Cheers!

  • The developer misspelled “VERSATILE” in their promo video. They should correct that.

Excellent demo and a very cool track, is that your own work?
This fx sounds good and for the price it is now, this seems a steal for all it can do.

Are there XY pads? …because I love XY pads

  • Are the AU parameters exposed for automation?

Thank you. First thing there is just Hammerhead. The second was an old recording, forgot the name of the main app I used.
But yeah, it'll jump to $25 i think, so worth grabbing.

I've noticed in general with iOS combo boxes, you need to make sure you're finger is on the option when you release. I think I've found a way to improve this, I've been checking out a lot of third party stuff to get a good look at how everyone deals with this.

LOL at the strike through. I don't mind being to the point, but I really do appreciate that. Know I'm working on improvements there as we speak.

The process is okay for Mac/PC, and it's versatile/customizable, but it's not ideal for a quick workflow on iOS how it is right at the moment. I'm between a few options, and I've started framing them out, but I'd actually really like to see what everyone here thinks is the best way to go about it. If anyone has any thoughts, let me know!

To throw them out there, I'm thinking of the possibility of the top screen becoming a preset browser with a click of a button or maybe something less intrusive like just a drop down to replace the File Chooser in most cases, and a quick save.

OOPS. 😅 I guess you can tell, it's been a long couple of weeks.

    Will do. Much appreciated.

Not at this time, but that is certainly a possibility! I've been looking into adding different modulation options on top of the LFOs.

    Yes, controls offer automation.

Yeah - I was rude, so I edited my initial post, but thought it dishonest to just outright delete the comment. Thanks for listening. The app sounds great and looks cool - the interface is easy to read and navigate. Choosing something from the drop downs takes many tries for me - others may have this problem. A drop down to replace the file chooser works for me, perhaps with a list of factory and user presets separated. All the best!

  • Yea I caved. Everything is exposed and it’s a lot of possibilities. So far I like it.

@OSC_Audio getting some signal & audible spikes when I stop/pause host, which is AUM.
Also had trouble assigning the second lfo to the right delay pan. I had the first lfo on the left delay pan, but when I tried to use lfo 2 to modulate the right pan it didn’t do anything, I switched to color and it worked, however then I couldn’t switch it off of color to any other delay parameters. I kept selecting something else on the channel 6 delay to modulate but it just stayed on color, and would not switch. I’m on iPad 6, iOS I updated today for security risks update, the absolute newest one. Maybe it’s user error or there’s a logical explanation but figured I’d mention it. Thanks.

    So far so cool though.

Can anyone reproduce a problem with the audio cutting out in one ear when you move the resonance knob above zero in the formant filters? This may have happened to me with just one, may have been more than one, can't recall and not by my ipad, cheers

  • Here is my video for sumFX.
I'm using Logic Pro for the video.

Am I missing a setting to have the effects trail out after the source is paused? If I pause the sequencer right now it just cuts the sound completely. Would be great to be able to have the reverb and delay tails trail off instead.

Enjoying the app overall so far, though. The reverb and filters sound great. Haven’t tried the EQ and compressors yet.

  • @OSC_Audio How long is the intro price available for?

That would be very exciting! Performing FX live is really fun and XY pads are so much more accessible than dials on a touch screen. With a multiFX app, having several pads on the same screen would be amazing. Allowing for subtlety/fine grain adjustments to find sweet spots is important, though. Endlesss has the best implementation I've used for live FX via XY pads for what it's worth.

Didn't see this posted here yet but:

Your responsiveness and openness to ideas is enough for me to invest in both the iOS and desktop versions.

Hahaha, no, look again - one is the music chart, the other is the general overall chart. Congrats @OSC_Audio!
