  • Heels echoing. Dress sculpture. Shadow hugs.

  • Torc too tight, too much torque

  • With this ring, I give thee

I’ve had my entry, and I stand or fall by it. But the exercise is very cool. Couldn’t resist:

‘Utopia’, they called it. Not anymore.

  • "Ring" she said, i never did

Ring, unneeded. Fresh horizons? For both.

Kinda derivative, but I love the opening challenge example so much it was hard not to try to think that way…nice one for reminding me of it, so many forgotten gems…

I’ve edited mine to one with more of a plot, but if that’s not OK, no problem. This is fun whatever!

@bygjohn, actually I prefer your first. That one has potential, IMHO.

  • "Do you?" was asked, but never answered

Crap - that's 7 words. Ok, with minor editing:

"Do you?" Asked, but never answered.

Mercury modulates the Suns Cosmic Ring.

    https://schematicmusiccompany.bandcamp.com/track/textures

  • "Ring my bell. Eternal Belle sings."

  • Form a ring! Today we modulate!

  • @JanKun said:
Unfair competition for non native speakers... But I'll go for this one:

    "Ring me, Belle ! ... K.O. bell rings ..."

You get the idea. And using idioms in a foriegn language to boot. I’m always amazed by your creative output. Is using the name Belle a french affectation or intended to shift the plot to romance and away from the boxing ring?
Don’t answer… the ambiguity is part of the charm. Something English major could debate in their MA Lit program.

  • I didn’t wake up this morning.

    Title of novel?
    Dead Man Blues

  • edited July 2023

"No beginning, no end; no escape."

"Symbol of infinite love, lost forever."

  • Also, I bow to your generosity @LinearLineman :star:

I ask everyone, lol, to try harder! I have amended the rules to allow a contestant to modify the six words till the 7/23 deadline. Remember, a novel has a PLOT.

Hilltop. Bird. She was torn away.

  • Fresh ring proffered, the members drooled…
