Anyone tried or using Lets Unmix? There’s an AU version as well.

i have been using it for a few years now. It works great, but there are better options in the last couple of years.

Thanks. Would you say Lalal or Transcribe+ beats it? Or which apps were you referring to? I’ve been looking for a good option for this for a good while now so I’m definitely keen to find one. I use samples a lot so it’s pretty valuable to me.

in my experience, lalala is the best. Somebody else in here mentioned Rip X (desktop only) i tried it, and Lalalal was still superior to me. Much less artifacts (virtually none). Lets unmix also has a fair amount of artifacts.

One cool thing Rip X offers is the ability to morph the separated elements, you can really get in there and do some weird sound design stuff with it. Lalala's splitting algo is still best though. I posted some examples of Lalala vs Koala (spleeter) a way back in this thread.

I've been using Transcribe+ for splitting stems:

    https://apps.apple.com/us/app/transcribe-slow-down-music/id1048119179

Are these other solutions notably better?

Transcribe+ is what I use as well. It does a better job than Koala IMO. I will have to try LaLa and use it on Al Green's Sha-La-La and maybe even on Marvin Gaye's Make Me Wanna Holla.

I’d like to hear your thoughts. Is stem splitting an IAP? I have the app but it’s currently offloaded. Curious which is the best solution.

The stem splitting is in fact an IAP. The full unlock is $19.99. They also offer monthly and annual subscription options. I did the one time $19.99 option. It works on my iPhone, Ipad and M1 Macbook Air. It's really cool being able to create stems on my phone whenever the urge/inspiration hits then airdrop the stems to my Ipad to load into Logic or BM3.

Will also love a comparison of these gems… This one should be Auv3 or Ableton link..

Would love a comparison as well. Btw if you want an AUV3 to slow things down slow machine by Bleass is great

I’m iOS only as well. I’ll check out that demo. Koala has been my go to for a while because of the artifacts left behind in Let’s Unmix. Thanks for the reply! Maybe lalala is the way to go.

So, with the one-time payment full unlock at 19.99 do you get unlimited access and downloading?

As far as I can tell. I've been using Transcribe+ regularly for a few years now. I haven't had to pay for any updates. It works locally with audio files, files from your iTunes library , etc. and does not need to upload/download.

    There is a demo…

And seems there was an update today…

I tried both last night and definitely liked Lalala a lot. I can see why people prefer. I don’t have the unlock for Transcribe+ but have used the free version for a long time and I do really enjoy it. Guess I need to watch some demos of it in action so I can make a decision.

    Thanks @Dham

  • Does let’s Unmix av3 in AUM, does the player start and stop with AUMs transport start button? ?
    Hope it does
If so then I will pay the money

  • Answering myself
    Yes
I owned and tested it with AUM in audio slot
Didn’t even remember I owned it

“Didn’t even remember I owned it” we’ve all been there huh 😂 too many apps syndrome.

Not exactly this, but Apple could implement this idea I posted here…

  • Does anyone know, do you have to buy one of the premium “minutes” packs in order to export the stems? It’s not giving me the option to do that and the website says it’s a premium feature but I’m not sure exactly what premium is based on what’s offered in the app.
