I know it’s a DAW, but for an iPhone app I think the audio editor in Audio Evolution Mobile is as good and easy to use as any of the editors discussed here, supports Auv3 and 32-bit float files. Limited to linear crossfades only, but for more advanced crossfading a Mac app like Reaper will have more choices.

It’s a good one. @jwmmakerofmusic was saying recently that AEM would be good Android tool. If you wanted to make something in Android that’s a good choice for its editing. I was thinking if I had one ios daw choice for android, Zenbeats is a versatile daw including its drum pads sequencer. In terms of editing Aem holds more weight vs ZB’s versatile environment. A While back I made some requests to Roland with a list on improving their editing. Its too long to mention but they haven’t done nothing. Hopefully a next update.

AEM has the capability to load and edit very long audio files too. I tried to edit a 40 minute recording of a Shostakovich symphony in a couple of editors, and it either was beyond the supported length or would just hang or crash the editor. I was able to line it up with another symphony by Tchaikovsky to confirm that the Shosty movement was a reference to a Tchaikovsky motif, and then slice that section out and play them together. It really worked beautifully, and it was very quick and responsive on those large files.

Did you get back to Roland about Zenbeats in the forum or somewhere else? I just want to make sure the dev gets your input. PM me with a copy of your feedback if you wouldn’t mind, and I’ll see to it reaches the dev directly👊.

Yes it certainly reached them. They had responded back and took the time to read my email and addressed every thing that was listed. I believe they are improving it the best they could. They help everytime. I’ve should have asked for a Zenology port 😄 right. Haha joking, I only asked for essential ZB requests and bug reports.

TwistedWave, Ferrite Recording Studio, Wavebox all are audio editors and what’s more is they support auv3 effects. I’ve only tried WaveBox and I like it but I am wondering if the other two and what’s the difference between them. And what’s also the best one out of the three. Are there any other similar auv3 effect wave editors apps like these three mentioned. Aside from this question, I have another question is also want to know what’s simply the best audio editor in iOS, doesn’t have to support any kind of auv3. I would like something that can let me easily multi slice or trim a whole big wav file of notes for sampling. I do it in Cubasis one note at a time and if you’ve sampled multiple octaves with multiple notes in Cubasis, then you know it’s a drag of having to keep counting up each note after every trim and keep repeating the process. Maybe an Audio editor that adds multiple slices and it’s a bonus If one could detect and position the trim right on note, I think Sitala does something similar like that if I’m not mistaken.

    Koala has autochop

    But wavebox too
