  • love this app! has anyone created any extra presets for it? i wanna get lost in the preset sauce with this thing

  • Messing around with this app and cooked something up. Blib Box is so much fun. This was a quickie done for the most part with Blib Box, a bit of TriplexClassic fm, fx and shit. I must say this is not completely my taste of music but it’s still fun to create something weird outside the (blib) box. B)

  • This is awesome @Slush . This has got a nice hardcore element to it, and it sounds like a live set in a warehouse too!
Is that Dustin I hear for reverb?

    Thanks! The reverb is Cascade.

Aw yeah. Cascade is nice indeed. Yup well, you were the one to finally break me on purchasing blipbox. I kept telling myself I was covered with FAC plus FX, or resampling Skiid and Fractal bits, but this is a nice more immediate way to conjure and shape sounds of that ilk. Plus I have triplex too.

Super industrial sounding. I love this 🔥

  • Anyone try using Blip Box on desktop as an AU plugin for GarageBand and/or Logic Pro? Thinking seriously about getting this no-sample drum plugin.

I used it in Ableton Live. Runs great.

  • Blip Box is great. For me now the best drum synth for live jamming. Pure synthesised percussion.
It would be great if the dev would add a section about the pads to the manual. People might otherwise oversee the “Focus mode” while helplessly staring at the dancing controls of the app.

  • Looks like something elektron machinedrum. Which sequencer app with p-locks and randomisation can you recommend?

Thank you for pointing the ‘focus mode’, I was one of those people staring helplessly at the dancing controls :#
So, holding a pad gives a pop-up menu where you can select the focus mode and allows to work on one sound.
    I missed that one!

Polybeat, Octachron, Poly 2, mKer, and MidiDreams/Drums are all great drum sequencers. DrumComputer and Hammerhead as sequencers too.

    👍👍👍

  • does it have midi cc??

  • Blip Box is such a great drum synth.

I used it for all the drums in the jam below, fed it come euclidean sequences via Rozetta Rhythm and added some LFOs to various controls on certain drum voices to add some life

I plan to use it a lot more in the future, it's a real gem.

Nice! This makes me miss my Blofeld 😂 great jam!

  • @HotStrange thanks 😄 yeah I sold my first blofeld and then bought another one a few years later when I missed it 😂

I did the same thing 😂 and then ended up selling the second 🤦🏻‍♂️ it’s got a really unique sound that I just absolutely love though. And the UI isn’t nearly as bad as people would have you believe.

    Don’t tempt me damnit 🤣

  • The last couple of days I am completely devoted creating drum machine presets in Blip Box. What a gem this thing is, it just keeps on giving all sorts of great percussions that reach beyond the usual drummachines. For kicks it’s awesome too, especially when you start layering them. So good for techno/electro. I really hope we will see more from this developer.

If you want more from the same developer then I think OODA, ZOA, SDS-X and AutoPad is the same guy.

Really? Blip Box and Phase Monkey are from Sketch Audio.

Yes, same. Names of developer and preset creator check out. They must have set up a new company for some reason. Had a look at the Sketch Audio web site now, and in their "who are we" video they talk about SDS-x background etc.

Ok, I see. Well, they create excellent stuff for sure.

I second this question. I’m using in Logic Pro on iPad and would love to be able to modulate with an LFO.
