  • I released a new build. You need to press the play button to arm the sequencer (sorry I should have done it earlier 😂)
    I'm also planning to release this version if I don't get any reports (all reports are positive so far).

    After watching the video, I realized I haven’t mentioned anywhere about that you can tap the balls to change their direction. It was something for debug purposes but I leave it in the app. Maybe I should update the tutorial 😅

    About the key/scale picker being in the settings menu, they wouldn’t fit in the bottom toolbar on the iPhones. But I can add them on the iPad app only.

    You should also definitely try the ‘shooting walls with the MIDI input’ feature, it’s super fun!

    Yes 🙌🏻 this is one of your best apps, imo. Been having a blast with it so far. Excellent work as always. I can see it becoming a go to app for me.

    Well, so this is what I got:

    Pretty cool, I think. A single instance of Bounce Bud is doing all the heavy lifting here, no other sequencing or live playing involved. 7 ‘balls’ in different combinations for the top, sides, and bottom of the box driving two instances of Decent Sampler, running a toy piano sample and some modular noises, plus some Dexed, Lo-Fi Tape x 2, and Beathawk, just being used as a sample player. Some reverb, and the wonderful YaleD reverse tape delay, and job’s a good’n. Video: found footage of ice crystals growing in a dish, chucked through CapCut, Glitch Art Studio and iMovie.

    Ice 9 because Vonnegut, obviously, and because the almost granular crackling noises made me think of ice freezing on a lake.

    I think I’m going to be getting a lot of use out of this, @cem_olcay. Thanks! :)

  • Am trying the ‘shoot walls’ thing with no noticeable results. I think there must be something wrong in the way I have set things up. Trying to ‘shoot the top wall’ of Bouncebud with midi out from Snakebud, but no joy. Any thoughts?

    Ah, sending here to the virtual channel instead of the regular midi channel.

    Ps Cem, with Snakebud, in AUM Snakebud appears as a source with first the Snakebud cc midi out in the list, and then below that, the regular midi notes. Could it be changed so that the note midi appears first in the list? I constantly make mistakes with that as I am so used to the first item in the list being the right one to choose

  • I am getting a fair bit of crashing with bouncebud loaded as an AUv3 in AUM, both when feeding midi in and even when not. Anyone else?

    I've uploaded a new version v1.1 fixing the crash issue. Plus some minor fixes as well. It will be live shortly.

    The app has so many layers (MIDI layer, audio layer, game engine graphics layer, game engine physics layer, app interface layer) and coordination between them is definitely not easy. Great challenge though :smiley:

    It’s fun, I enjoy it, but it is crashing regularly as an AUv3 plugin in ApeMatrix. Using latest iOS

    Edit: I see now that crash issues are being addressed, so fingers crossed

    Yeah, the update is ready but it’s stuck in the “in review” state, it should have been released by now 😭
    I’ve sent an email to Apple, hope they fix it and release the update.

    I kind of like that 'feature' 😂, maybe it should be refined and made into an option that does a kind of ratcheting effect
