  • Amen, brother!

  • So, still no connectivity?

I’ve owned this since it came out, now it looks like I have to buy it again.
It’s not even showing up in my purchase history.

    Same here.

  • @Simon I couldn’t find a way to contact the dev either.

I am guessing it is a new developer who has gotton hold of the old code and revamped it for the latest iOS... or maybe just written a totally new app and made it look and function like the old one.

The new app's developer name is "Anna". I seem to remember that the old one was made by a guy.

  • It was lost in the great 32bit cull

  • @Simon Yes, I guess you are right.
I’ll probably buy it again anyway, I did love the original and as far as I can tell this is exactly the same, I don’t think it has any connectivity though, but it does record to wave me thinks.
It is nice to have it back though.

    Yes.

And it is pretty low price as well.

Just found my original video from 9 years ago, oh my, how things changed (for the better🤣)
I’d forgotten just how cool it is.

  • Anyone worked out where the internal Wav record option stores its files? It says it stores them in the ‘ITunes’ folder, but that doesn’t exist any more, right?

  • @Svetlovska I was thinking exactly the same thing, it probably stores them in the files app now.
We won’t know for sure until someone takes the plunge😊

  • Plus, it’s still only portrait mode.

  • there's an "amen generator" folder in the files app.

Also, supplementary question: I’m using Koala to render the screen capped breaks, fine, but is there a simple AUV3 sample player that, either on its own or compatible with Rozeta rhythm and XOX I can just load the samples into?

I know I can trigger the Koala pads via midi but unless I missed something, this isn’t a simple plug n play with a separate drum sequencer, I have to midi learn each pad, which is a faff.

So, rephrased: is there a sample player or drum machine app which makes it easy to load samples into, maybe from a a single zipped file such Koala export function can generate?

  • @sevenape . Huh. Not on my iPad… I’ll try a reboot, see if that helps.

  • Deffo should be there

  • Welp, the reboot did it. Definitely wasn’t there, now it definitely is. Thanks, @sevenape :)

  • Is not AUV3?

  • @rvr No AUv3, no IAA, no connectivity, but can record, and it is great fun.

  • Thanks

Don’t know about simple zip import, but I think you can load samples into Hammerhead.

it's like the GR-16 jump feature

  • Please don’t kill me! ;) Is it possible to reproduce this app functionality in Drambo?

I do have something I built inside of Drambo for juggling breaks, but it doesn’t reproduce this apps functionality because I didn’t know about it. I never shared it to patch storage because I use outside AU MIDI with it, and it’s a bit messy cause I’m not Gravitas or RS2000, and it’s suited for my needs, an iPhone.
This app seems far more fun and intuitive on its own, but I prefer my hack to juggle beats so I can do what makes sense to whatever other elements I’m writing in other tracks, especially the sub bass, for context, you know.

But I’ll definitely still be buying this!

He was the first person I thought of when I saw that it had been rereleased.
