Chord Roulette - new auv3 midi plugin for chord generation on the fly. Updated to version 1.1.1
Hello everyone.
I'm developing a tiny auv3 midi utility that builds chord from just one note midi input(Works the same as max4live device called Schwarzonator).
If any want to test it - just send me your email and i will send invite via TestFlight.

Now its ready for everyone https://apps.apple.com/app/chordbank/id6470079737
Hope someone finds it useful.
Hey!! Thanks so much for this
It is lightweight, parameter mappable and instantly fun - oooo I'm wondering what else you will produce
Yeah nice app
From beta to App Store in days
Good luck
Been having a good time with the beta, great job on this @unbrokendub and congrats on the official release!
To be honest, it is the only one app i wanted to make, just for myself for instant chords playing )
But all in all. Happy to see that someone also find it useful!
Thanks!
Very generous of you to share this with us. Nice, thank you!
@unbrokendub Congratulations! It's a very usefull app. Thank you so much for creating it and make it available for free.
I don't want to be one of those guys that instantly asks for features as soon as an app is lauched, but since you mentioned "Schwarzonator", could you please implement a Random option?
Cheers!
Thank you kindly!
Congrats!
Is it just me…or:
How come this free first-time app looks better than the majority of the music apps I own?
Your UI design is really solid. Simple, functional, yet looks good…
You may call it quits after this, but I’d be interested to see what you might do in the future.
Awesome !! Big thanks for sharing this great app and your work.
Glad you like it. Yeah, I was thinking to add Random knob. Later will look how it realized on the schwarzonator side, and will try to implement.
And since there a technical skilled people. Maybe someone will want to add custom scales to the app.
Internally it realized with just a array table: https://github.com/unbrokendub/ChordBank/blob/main/ChordBank.h
It’s a code from my old project for Atmega.
So if you look at first raw of major scale in example, it is:
{36, 38, 43, 48, 50, 55} - it is a one chord based in array with index 0.
In ChordBank it realized like this: midi note in(from 0 to 127) trigger a chord by its index 0 to 127. Just that.
If you like, just post an array here with 127 elements, and I will include it in future updates.
I’m trying to find it and load it in AUM, but it’s nit showing as an audio unit midi processor. How do I set it up ?
It’s an unresolved bug, still can’t find why it happens. Most of the devices catches a bug run iOS 16.6.1 and 17.0.3
If you want, I can send you TestFlight invite. Some of the builds will work - pm me your email.
@Antos3345 when i first downloaded this the same happened to me yet it appeared after a reboot.
I’ll try that.
Congratulations. Definitely useful. Thanks. Still testing I’ll send some thoughts soon. Love the icon too.
It now works and shows up with a reboot. I’m trying to figure it out Let’s make some presets together:)
Thanks!!!
Wow, thanks for this! Excellent and free to boot. I’m going to take it for a spin this morning, maybe it’ll help me expand the generally mono orientation of my noises.
Very cool, thanks. Easy to get nice chord progressions going. Had some luck transposing the triggernotes of a progression I already liked and got another nice one.
@unbrokendub I know, you described the technical side of how the chords are ordered, and if I were more codeminded I could just find out... Can you describe vaguely how they're ordered?
Hi there, @unbrokendub
Loving this app… thank you!
One small thing I spotted…
Phrygian is spelled wrong in scales…
Thanks again
Opps Will fix this typo in the next update
No preblom😂😂
Just cancelled my piano lessons
