Dunno if i’m going crazy but the rhythm of the arpeggios just does not sound right?

There’s a weird “skip” or delay on some notes in the arpeggio pattern which messes with the rhythm. I just felt something was off and tried to reduce it to the most simple instance and compare. Using the default preset (disable delay) on the Bleass arp stand alone we can see there is no “skip”. But when using the auv3, hosted either in audiobus or EG Nodes, there is that skip messing up rhythm of the arpeggio. Very annoying because it seems like an issue with the timing of the midi notes it sends out which seems to cause issues with most patterns, because to me they just don’t sound right.

I’m not getting it.. tested in both AUM and Node.. solid here..

It seems inconsistent it comes and goes whenever I tab in/out of the host app, it’s really weird… but you definitely can hear it on the video right?

Yep.. I do hear it on the video… maybe a reinstall?

It suddenly started working fine again, fingers crossed it keeps working 🤞

    AU Bleass Arp

Thank you. Au is the one for me

  • talk me out in buying midicake arp since I own this one...anyone has any experience with both ?

  • I’m considering grabbing this today.
    Price is currently 15$ USD

Is everyone still happy with this and using it? I have so many sequence/arp apps but none of them really do exactly what i want. To fade the arp in and out with out having to modulate the channel strip volume and allow for changes over time to rate/note/volume/pattern and it looks like bleass arp does offer these options

Bleass ARP is very intuitive and can be really complex. I’ve been using it a lot lately. If I understand what you’re wanting I believe it does all of what you’ve listed above. Check out STR YouTube just in case. Bleass even produced their own

It will probably go on sale in Nov if you can wait. $15 is the max price but most things by Bleass is well worth it even at full price.

Thanks man! I’ve been watching a couple quick reviews on it and it seems very flexible will do what I’m looking for. I’ll check those out as well. I don’t mind paying 15$ as long as it isn’t just another arpeggio app ya know. And this one seems to be a lot more capable

    Nothing touches Midicake arp

  • Nabbed this on the recent sale and loving what it can do. Apart from the hanging notes in Cubasis 3 after stopping the transport. It’s like the arp is continuing to play when the played stops in the DAW. Anyone else having this issue still? I saw some mention of similar things in the thread for CB3 and Logic.

  • Have you closed out all your applications and restarted your iPad? That could help.

Sometimes after semi-long usage midi notes hang I’ve noticed for many an AUV3. I wish all apps have an obvious panic button.

Thanks so much for the tip but sadly it doesn’t change anything.

I tested BLEASS Arpegiator in AEM and NanoStudio and it doesn’t exhibit this behaviour although it kept crashing NS2 when applying it to the Obsidian instrument (worked on an external auv3 instrument). I’ve had a few weird issues with midi auv3’s in Cubasis which makes me wonder two things. One, does Cubasis have a quirky implementation of auv3 midi plugins? Two, do devs test their midi auv3’s properly in Cubasis?

AEM.. AUM you mean? Usually rock solid.

NS2 seems abandoned? I’m not sure how many devs are testing it out or what BLEASS typically tests DAW wise.

I loaded it in Drambo and no issues, same with Loopy Pro. Also rock solid hosts.

I would imagine Cubasis has to be a typical daw that’s tested. Though I could see a large company like Steinburg having a weird implementation of AUV3.

Lord know even Logic being from Apple you would think it would be easier for devs and it seems to be a constant issue to implement as Apple doesn’t follow whatever standards they’ve set for the sparse documentation on AUV3, rules for thee yanno.

    Reach out to Bleass!

AEM is the Audio Evolution Mobile DAW. Yeh funnily enough I have a half memory of having a similar issue with another arp (can’t remember which one now) in Logic when I subbed that earlier in the year.

Will def reach out to BLEASS, just thought there may be a quick fix from users who’ve had similar issues. Thanks @offbrands

After I posted that I realized it probably is a different daw lol. My bad. So bad at acronyms.

3rd party arps are tough it seems. Good on you for planning out to reach out to the dev. Hopefully they can sort it out 🙏🏽

Haha I agree on the acronyms! I can’t keep up myself so should have spelled it out 😆

Sent an email to BLEASS so will report back when I hear. Have an awesome weekend my friend!

Yes!! Dope. Cheers on reporting back. It’s an amazing app honestly and hopefully it finds a way to fit into how you’d like within your process

You have a nice weekend as well!

Good to hear that there's a fix inbound for hanging notes - certainly a big issue for me hosting in Logic.
Frequently getting a crash where it disappears completely then won't relaunch until I've filled it's place with another, random, MIDI FX.
Strangely it doesn't even appear in the Recently Used list, I have go and find it again.

Are folks using Logic still getting hanging notes? I'm speaking with the dev and Cubasis support to try to resolve the issue in Cubasis 3. The dev initially says it's probably a Cubasis issue however I'm starting to think this is not the case.
