I couldn’t escape BF because I was waiting for the Naada Collections and Davinci Resolve, and in the meantime, Pro-R2 happened. So, 300€ budget gone with the wind, haha.

I also bought the DDMF ERS-250. Initially, I didn’t like the results at all. I thought when people were ready to spend $30k on the real thing, there must be magic hidden somewhere. Nope, no magic. Also, for GS-201, I needed to have this because reverbs are my thing, but I can guarantee it will stay in the reverbs folder and collect digital dust. I hope I’m wrong.

I love GS-201 but it is an acquired taste. I’m a big fan of the GSI apps though.

I got sucked in pretty deep

    Full Geoshred Nanda collection 1-3
    Pianoteq Pro upgrade
    And Jazz Drummer

Plus I have some other stuff coming, hard cases and new External SSD

Yep ordered a new SSD last night and ordering an Akai MPK Plus tomorrow.

As usual, I had my planned list of apps, both iOS and desktop, growing in a note app all through the year, and then, to my surprise, this Black Friday has been all about talking myself out of buying any of them. I didn't plan it this way and I don't know the reason.

    Wisdom.

I’ve been putting my previously purchased apps on a new iPad over the weekend, and realized how many I’ve bought that I’ve ended up not using. I’m grateful how easy it is on the iPad to get bought apps again and restore IAP’s. No glitches there.

I’m hoping to pick up pianoteq 8 next.

Perhaps it's a time to ponder your embarrassment of riches...

I have so many reverbs because you never know when you will need them. The theme of the project and the character of the sound dictate this. GS-201 is too special, it would be used rarely, and I’m OK with that. I'm happy with my purchase.

Don’t be Debbie Downer now! 😂

Of course not - enjoy your fear of frequency shifters.

Yeah, I’ve replaced "scared" with "concerned." The language barrier made me slap that word like it’s nothing. I was leaving the wrong impression. Thanks for noticing. 🫶

I’m replacing an under a year old Sandisk extreme 2tb external drive
Thing has been a nightmare, constantly running hot and randomly disconnecting
So I would highly avoid these drives and stick to Samsung ones.

    Just a public service announcement

I’m looking for a new MIDI Keyboard too, we are the same lol

That’s how I am with Delays and Distortions. Some of them may only get used occasionally but they come in clutch whenever they do 😆

I’m curious what you end up getting. I’m thinking Akai MPK plus for me since I’m low on space but want more than 2 octaves.

Also I think I bought the SanDisk because I saw some decent reviews on here 😬😬 it’s from Amazon though so they have a good return possibly if it fails. Thanks for the heads up though.

  • I haven’t seen anything app-wise lately that I really need. Pretty much have everything.

I did buy Elastic Melody, and a couple Things (Voice, and FlipEQ)

I didn’t get anything, thus confirming my forum time really was coming to a close

At the end of the day (and after about 10 months of experimenting) I took a lot of what I learned from ios/iPadOS and just moved it to desktop dRambo +Logic + hardware + desktop studio. I went in a little loop but I learned a lot , mostly from gravitas,(and also echoopera, and wim) so shout out to you outstanding gents for your time.

And with that said, thanks to Michael for ABF and for all the helpful discussions.

(But don’t worry this time, I don’t want to make the same mistake of deleting my account just in case I want to pop back in and out without people confusing my identity again lol)

Aww, you’re not saying you don’t see any value in the forums other than figuring out which apps you want/need are you? There’s always new things, techniques, music theory discussions, and not to mention the Creations section where we get to hear all of the amazing music our fellow members have shared with us.

Stick around! There’s always going to be new things to learn, even if it doesn’t mean a new app, but maybe a different way to use one you already have.

  • Nope. Not me.

    Damn!

  • The only thing I bought was 3 months UAD subscription for a dollar.

Perhaps that was poorly worded. What I meant was this is an iOS/iPad production forum so (1) I don’t want to detract from discussions as a part time iOS user now and that also means (2) I have nothing to add in regards to apps and production so I don’t want to be babbling on and people say “didn’t this guy say he was using hardware and desktop ?? Why is he joining in? So it’s more like I don’t know if my continued additions would be appreciated much. In fact I said to a few friends on the side, I would stick around aT the very least for creations because I like to listen to other members work, and get production tips , and just under stand music better as you said. But yea , I am going nowhere with so many awesome members. I just don’t want to “not belong” or overstay my welcome that’s really what I meant.

    Thanks dude
