  • This man is a genius. Must buy

  • This is insanely good fun! Got one instance being played by one output from ZOA through Rymdigare, a sample from it in Salome being played by two outputs from the same ZOA through ODC, and am sat here with a huge stupid grin on my face as a complete alien landscape (complete with alien life forms) unfolds continuously. 👽🙃

Zolotov aka "Night Radio" is indeed a genius. I was deeply touched when I read an article (cannot find it anymore), where he described how he re-created some computer game classics as card board games. Probably because the hardware was not available in Russia at that time.
And he is one of the few developers who are capable of releasing an app for various platforms. There are even SunVox versions that run on old PalmOS or Windows CE devices...
I bought the Android version as well: Runs well on even older Android tablets and these apps turn them into great "Noise Pads".
My biggest wish would be for him to make an official iOS release of his "Pixilang" programming language. Sadly you only get sources for iOS.

  • The perfect definition of "instabuy". Fractal Bits keeps making its way into my own music, coupled with Riffer and such things, so I imagine this will too.

  • Yes this is excellent and such a no brainer at the price. This plus Salome and u basically have more weird synth sounds than you'd ever need in an entire lifetime

  • The apps that Mr Zolotov has made have brought me so much joy that I will always continue supporting his effort… No questions asked.

  • Bought on android and ipad. What I love about this (and fractal bits, sunvox and koala) is that I can knock something out on the bus on my android, save the results in the cloud and import everything on my ipad when I'm home. Good stuff!

  • 1.99!!??! Best $2 ever spend!

@gusgranite thanks for posting that video.

  • Clean up on aisle 4…

Maybe everyone can just delete the political posts to not spoil a wonderful new app launch thread?

Thank you. That sounds really good. You gave some ideas

You’re welcome! It’s really good fun.

  • I’m in transit so I figured I’d watch vids and grab later. Then saw it’s only $2 and 6mb. Hit that buy button and downloaded while standing inline to board the plane ✈️ :)

  • Really cool. Fun

  • Don't buy many apps these days but I bought this.

Fractal Bits has been a lot of fun in conjunction with Koala and/or Fluss. This will just add to that mix. Easy to lose an evening just exploring. I'm sure it leads to musical results, but these are also simply magical as sound therapy.

  • I need this for my next Sun Ra cover album

Fastest purchase ever and this from a recovered app-a-holic…

I’m thoroughly enjoying it so far. Fractal Bits is one of my favorites though so I was expecting to like it.

How Does it differ from Fractal Bits?

I’ve only spent maybe 10 mins or so with it so far but this one spits out more melodic sounds than FB, being is mostly all percussive sounds. This one does percussive too but there are also pad type sounds on every page as well.

    Yes,thanks👍
    Pads vs one shots.

    I need this

I think you need to too 😂

I kid, but it’s a great app so far.

    Well…its friday
    Bought
    Great fun

Enjoying the app so far. Not sure how much I’ll use it in my music but it’s fun to play with and there’s a lot of cool sounds. half the sounds are ideal as ambient tones for a sci-fi movie set on a spaceship

Sounds great fed through k-device’s magma and Erik Sigthi’s Rymdigare

So are you android for phone and then iPad for iOS music making? Didn’t realize his apps were on Android too.

Absolutely. Haven’t used with Magma yet but used it with TATAT and Rymdigare and yeah it’s excellent. Sounded like an 8-bit video game soundtrack out of the depths of hell

These noises speak to me. Not harsh or abrasive, to me, at all. Pure bliss.

Same here. I love Fractal Bits and this is a lovely surprise launch for me.

  • 4 billion Lofi sounds, made from math, at 6.1mb and only $1.99. I like fractal and this seems like a great addition.

That’s the impression I got. RM sounds seem to be a little longer.
