yes but not as send. the signal gets send just short to the feedback. then its only dry again, but you still have the feedback going on from the point you "send" it to the feedback path.

Ah, yes, of course... Next update you can modulate the Input Level ;)

how do do fix the wet/dry behaviour then?

    Fix?

Got the chance to properly play around with it last night and create some patches of my own. It’s excellent, and insanely powerful for the price. Also pairs well with another new release Secta.

    Great work @gsdsp

    Thank you @HotStrange :)

modulate the input would also modulate the dry signal. which should only be mixed in via dry/wet.

Usually you do this kind of thing by automating a send and using a dedicated return track with the delay effect set to fully wet. I'd do the same but instead of automating the send I'd modulate the input level. ;)

  • Here is my first video for Quantum Delay, the new modulation is very good, makes everything easy to understand😊

  • Thanks @thesoundtestroom :)

BTW we definitely don't want to nag you in the App but if anybody feels like submitting a review in the AppStore we'd be more than happy ;)

to use it as insert and modulate only the wet input signal, the behaviour of wet/dry has to change.
but yeah, one can already do that with a ordinary send/return setup.

Yes, you shouldn't use it as an insert in this case. I mostly use Delays and Reverbs in a send/return setup (locking the DryWet control is very useful here too).

yes, me too. but modulate the input makes no sense then. at least for me.

Likewise. It’s great. My first thought was that I have more delays than I need already, and then I watched Gav’s video…

Thanks for the tip about pairing it with Secta, tried it last night and almost immediately lovely things started to happen!

Right? It’s like they were made for each other. I can see myself using them as a pair pretty often.

  • This is great! So good, that I'm buying for desktop too.

I think I’m gonna buy it just because you’re making dance music in the video.

yes, do it because of that. but never use it.

  • Comparing some (of the endless) ways to modulate Delay lines using Quantum Delay by GS DSP and Logic Pro for iPad. Beyond the usual Sine LFO!

  • Really a great effect app.

    great update!
played with input mod yesterday, sending white noise rhythmically into the feedback.
    so much fun.

  • So far it’s been my fav experimental delay. Simply amazing what It can do. Perfect for sends or just to add whatever pops out of its dices.
Well done @gsdsp and thanks for your videos!!!

  • hoping for a big brother of quantum.
this guy knows math and more.

  • maybe with some weird routing options for feedback excess.

  • @gsdsp I have one last request: can you make the background brightness setting persistent?

It’s persistent for me. In which DAW are you experiencing non-persistence?

My bad, you’re right! It didn’t stick the first time for me, now I’m thinking I may have opened the standalone app to try it first.

    @gsdsp
I'm totally blown away by this delay! I can't believe none of the YouTube reviews or tutorials were done using it as an Electric guitar effect. I like it so much that it is on my current electric guitar pedalboard now with ToneX dual amp setup.

I love how it has tons of tweaking options including modulation! Seriously, I was so looking at the STRYMON timeline and even watching a lot of YouTube videos nd wishing for something with a great Tape delay on IOS but that it was universal so I can use it on my iPhone with ToneX. Oh man, was I glad to find this gem!!!

I couldn't believe the price of admission is only the price of a cup of Starbucks coffee! You kidding me?????

If anyone was ever on the fence on this amazing Tape delay app, well, you owe it to yourself to buy this gem! I am blown away at how awesome it is. And it works perfectly at 96khz resolution on my iPhone! It has all the regular favorites dotted 8th, etc, etc,, and modulation, oh man so much!

And I love the GUI!!! It clicks with me right away! And that was in an iPhone 12 pro max! Unbelievable!!! I can stop smiling when playing it. I will use it liveon my pedalboard at church worship next Sunday! Thank you Mr. Developer for creqting such a wonderful delay app!!!

My one request, is to have the settings show the parameter amounts. I'm not sure if it's already there as an option but that would be great when tweaking. Other than that, this gem is ready for Live action!!!

5 Star review by Musikman4Christ left on AppStore!

  • @Tones4Christ Thank you so much for the kind words! If there is any footage of you using Quantum Delay Live please share it with us :)

Thanks for your suggestion too! It's not there yet ;)
