  • I’m kind of bummed I missed the window to update Komplete with the sale from Native Instruments and yet…I probably don’t need the update.

And now I’m wondering, do I ever really need any more software? Will I want more, though? Yeah…probably.

I finally got to a point recently where I deleted the things I don't use. All I have installed now are Guitar Rig and Kontakt.

    Over 2gb of free fun:

I downloaded this and could only find 6 usable WAV files. The rest were 5.1 or Atmos WAVs FYI

There’s a ton of IR WAV files in the Free IRs Pack folder
and several Drum Hits WAVs in the RawWav DRUM Hits and DM KIT #1B folders

The rest is just chaff, though.

Oh, weird. I think I missed those. Thanks for letting me know

  • SSL just announced their UC-1 controller and 360 software will be open to all the major plugins rather than simply the SSL ones only.

Great news if youve gone down the SSL route.

  • Hell yeah, it comes with Saturator X too. I’d be happy just getting that for free let alone all the other modules

I‘m so sad, that Newfangled didn‘t publish any of their plugins under i(pad)OS. I hope they will somewhere in the near future.
Yes crossgrading-prices are almost as cheap as edu/academic prices!

    Btw. Crossgrade-link for eventide/newfangledaudio-customers:

  • Looks like Cherry Audio is having a significant sale on their Moog effects emulations for desktop, which they call "Rackmode Signal Processors". Regular price $129, reduced price of $39.

    https://cherryaudio.com/products/rackmode

Here's the text from their site:

Rackmode Signal Processors is a bundle of seven virtual effects and an instrument plugin that replicate the classic rack-mounted Moog Signal Processors of the 1970s and ‘80s. This exclusive collection is the first time this entire line of renowned analog treasures has been recreated as virtual effects. Rackmode also marks our latest collaboration with award-winning synth designer and DSP legend Mark Barton (MRB), who modeled the circuit-precise emulations based on the original rack-mounted hardware. The collection includes:

Rackmode Vocoder (instrument and effects versions)
    Rackmode Phaser
    Rackmode Ring Modulator
    Rackmode String Filter
    Rackmode Frequency Shifter
    Rackmode Graphic EQ
    Rackmode Parametric EQ

We have expanded these awe-inspiring vintage effects with additional features aimed at today's music producers, including presets, syncable LFOs, stereo processing, and full Apple Silicon M1 native support. And speaking of authenticity, these effects capture not only the deep sounds and capabilities of the original Signal Processor line, but also the elegant look and heritage of their rack-mounted enclosures.

  • Pluginboutique has lots of good sales for their 12th anniversary, but especially this:

    https://www.pluginboutique.com/product/81-Bundles/82-Plugin-Boutique-Bundle/11901-Plugin-Boutique-12th-Anniversary-Bundle-Exclusive-

More than worth the 30 something bucks for MTurboDelay alone, but there is a lot more, like unichannel, knock clipper, Denise Godmode and more.

Snagged, this thing is sweet. Never tried the demo because my machine is stuck on Os 10.14 Mojave but this deal motivated me to try the Catalina legacy installer for the demo and it works fine. And sounds great!!!

    Thanks

I only got halfway through the process, I hate iLok and refuse to use it. My loss, I know but it sucks (i.e iLok). To add to the agony: it turns out I had several SoftTube products that I totally forgot about.

  • @Pxlhg I totally understand, I’m like that with the UAD plug-ins. They sound absolutely great but it annoys the hell out of me trying to load them. Softube can be frustrating for me with ilok but UAD took it to my limits

  • There is a shit ton of stuff on sale on plugin alliance, lots of brainworx stuff for $10

MTurboDelay is great for all those weird delays you didn’t know you needed. There are better BBD/Tapes etc but the weird stuff can be really cool. And unique.

Sure thing, although I like the bbd, too, you can shuffle the delays a bit like in echoboy.

  • T racks 5 v2 is $50 right now. I tried to see if jampoints will work for it but no go
