Tonocracy amp modelling plugins are now free. Not sure if it’s any good but it’s like NAM and TONEX in that it uses captures to model the amps and stomp boxes and stuff. Does it on its own servers too so not sure how viable that is for free software going forward. It seems like they make their money from hardware. Anyway. Free.

  • Just saw this on beatcommunity thought it might be useful for some people.

Audio Plugin Deals are offering 95% off the Lifetime Premium Plan by CloudBounce for a limited time, now only $109.00, (usually $2,190.00). The offer ends February 25th.

CloudBounce makes for lightning-fast music mastering right on your desktop. – CloudBounce offers reference-based mastering. You can specify your favorite tune, and their engine will match its characteristics to make your track sound similar.

Album mastering is also included. Upload your whole album and then specify the track order, options, and album-wide settings easily.

If you select some of the captures e.g. by Amalgam they are demo versions with silence inserted. The rest of the app seems free though. Not sure the website description covers that.

Y'know... any company offering their main product at 95% off I'd seriously have doubts about their ability to continue as a business, unless their product was really only worth 95% off from the beginning. I have no insights on this particular company, but if something looks too good to be true, it usually is.

  • Wave Alchemy released Triaz native yesterday (Kontakt not necessary). I've been waiting for this drum plugin for a while. It's about $99 US now and will go up to $165 US in about four weeks (read that on another forum).

Revolution native is next up to be released- 42 sampled drum machines with round robin. I already have too many drum plugins but I want both of these anyway. I've been using the Wave Alchemy samples for years. Top sounds.

Sanjay C had a code about this to get some extras as well.

What is it that makes it stand out for you?

I've always liked the Wave Alchemy samples, I have used them for years. Triaz has only been available as a Kontakt instrument before this release. I'm happy to have a native (and silicon native) version.

Triaz is really easy to use, has thousands of good samples, they are perfectly cut, tagged, and organized. No slop. The "Triaz" part is an x y z pad that allows me to morph between three samples to layer a sound.

The built in sequencer is very well thought out and fun to use. The sample effects- distortions, compressors, delays, reverbs etc. are all excellent and almost every parameter can be step sequenced. There is a mixer with master effects as well.

I haven't run into any bugs yet. I saw a post where someone was complaining about the drag and drop to DAW of the midi files from Triaz. I haven't encountered that issue. It's possible they didn't understand that the Triaz midi drop includes all the midi information like probabilities pitch effects etc.

I hope the upcoming Revolution plugin ends up with the same basic UI as Triaz. I'm looking forward to having excellent samples of all the iconic drum machines loaded in one place, with one nice interface.

Triaz is one of the best drum plugins out. At least when it comes to non organic stuff, although it can handle some of that as well.

Apparently a leapling is a person born on 29th February...

  • I’ve personally known exactly one person ever who was born on Feb 29

Let me know if you need any recommendations - there's a lot to choose from but Pendle (the developer) provides useful (and quirky) videos to demonstrate them.

  • There’s a leap day discount too making mixbox $4 less

Thanks! I’ve got Plankton Drummer and am on the verge of Plankton Sonar. Also interested in the Chaos (drum-ish) Machines. Do any of those stand out to you?

  • The 'full enchilada' version of MixBox is well worth the investment.

I think it’s a steal for €24. If it comes with SSSR as it did last time they had it on sale. it’s worth it for that alone.

  • Plugin alliance has a $10 off when you spend $20 and they have lots of stuff on sale

  • Klevgrand mailed out individual coupons for 60% off today only, desktop only. If you're on their mailing list in an email you don't check, now's a good time to look if you're in the market to buy any of their plugins.
