    I spoke to the developer of app Raven about this and apparently it’s currently impossible for some technical reason. Other then the developer announcing it, or someone catching it.

    Apologies for asking. Is 4 being worked on? Seems like there’s no updates since September and no social updates (on Twitter)other than the Black Friday sales from 2023 and this year. No idea about their forums or if they have a discord.

    Usually a year of no updates would be my limit on getting an app this intricate. It’s been 14 months so it’s … questionable. I’m genuinely asking! Not hating. Just curious

    I have, there are some similarities for sure. Nodes is a lot of fun.
    If you grab sand you get 14 days free trial, you don’t have to remember to cancel it either it just stops working after 14, so grab it up and try it!!!
    I ended up unlocking it for 5$ after 15 minutes because i like it so much and didn’t want to miss the sale!

    I really like SAND, but I also love EG Nodes. After playing with each for about the same amount of time last night, doing the same tasks... I'm not sure what I get with SAND that I don't already have in Nodes.

    I do like SAND though. It just seems to be a little redundant for what I already have

    I tried SAND for a day. I did buy it, as I thought it might be interesting to see how it develops. Like yourself, I'm not sure it gives me anything new and even misses a few tricks found in other apps.

    I must admit I use all these small apps for inspiration to create ideas. I do the vast majority of track creation in Logic now.

    What I'm waiting for is something like these small sequencing apps, but combined with some of the midi and audio generation apps into a 'happy accident idea generator' i want to be able to choose certain parameters and then let the idea generator go off and create, all while changing the parameters live or sequenced. I know we have lots of separate tools that do this, but by the time I've set up many AuV3s in AUM or other apps, I've already lost that fun feeling!

    Someone please create an all in one app that uses creates audio and midi out of some select tools that takes no set up time and just makes musical ideas to put into other apps to develop. I have the plan in my head, just a shame I can't make apps and that I think that any app without AuV3 support is probably a no go now anyway lol....sorry I'm jabbering on lol.....

    I'll likely grab it while it's on sale too. I like the SAND interface. Even if it doesn't offer all that much that's unique, the interface does seem to impact the joy of using an app. I like that it's very simple and easy to use, but that you can dig deeper and get more functionality out of it too. That's what I originally loved about EG Nodes... it started out very basic and fun. It still is, but after all the extras everyone demanded and the dev gave them... it's not quite as fun for me now as it was originally before all the additions were added.

    Yep, the additions for making a song was needed, but did make some of it a tad more convoluted. I suppose this happens when adding features - my SP404mk2 is a wonder machine imo, but remembering all the short cuts is near impossible with my old brain lol

    While true, after that freebie of Geoshred Play that popped up a short time back, I can now freely fight the urge to fomo the sale prices this round

    Whereas last time I convinced myself the price of admission for either Play or Pro (even on sale) wasnt worth it

    Now the constraints are off and now it's pure will (...and fear of homelessness)

    Depends. It never really clicked for me but does have some great features especially with sampling.

    I used to love BM3, but recently deleted it, as its just too unreliable now. I wished some company would buy it, but I suppose the code is pretty old now and probably not realistic to bring up to scratch.

    I've heard it crashes a lot. But for a tenner I'm willing to give it a shot. Basically it's MPC for iPad. I own iMPC Pro 2, and it also crashes a lot. So the bar is pretty low anyway :)

    Sand is amazing. I wish more people would give it a shot (free trial, y'all), hopefully the dev makes enough money and it wont turn into abandonware.

    I know right. I had a similar reaction to when I saw Hilda is 6.7 mb lol.
    Two of my go-to's and under 10MB.

    When I think about it, it make sense, but it's still is impressive considering the best way to make things and efficiently is rarely done, so it should be applauded.

    I’ve just picked up cubasis 3 in the sale so I’ll play with that instead 😁
