VirSyn / Harry Gohs apps on sale...

AppRaven records show NEW LOW for Teraverse, Tera Pro†, Cube Synth Pro, Addstation, VoxSyn Pro, BandDelay, Matrix Vocoder, Bark Filter, Harmony Eight, BandShift, Reslice, AudioEffX, Addictive Pro, Poseidon Synth, Tap Delay, iVoxel.
† That goes for Tera Pro's IAPs as well, except for Library Waveshaper.

The only ones NOT at historical low are Xinematix and Harmony Voice (incidentally the only one I needed, haha).

The rest of the catalog sits at current historical low.

(Apologies for any mistakes -- I just eyeballed it)

Looked at Harmony Voice for the AUv3 autotune element but was put off by the reviews and ratings (only has rating of 1.4 in UK store). Would be interested if it actually does work or not if you get it 👍

UPDATE 2: Won’t even open on my M2 Mac. I maybe do regret.

UPDATE: Bought VoxSyn Pro ($2). Installed on iPhone SE 2020, iOS 18.1. Loaded AU into Audiobus 3 FX slot. Audio works for a while, breaks the instance if messing with too many knobs. UI wonky as hell, responsive but many broken parametrics. Standalone doesn't work (need audio interface?). Comes with entitlement for M1 Mac, so maybe I don't regret.
Not sure if I’m brave enough to buy Harmony Eight 😅… It is a couple years older and iOS-only.

Yeah unfortunately VirSyn doesn't maintain most of their apps, and recent reviews are sparse at best. Would also love to know if someone here has had any recent success, especially with the voice/vocoder ones. I just assume the iPad mini 2 I keep around will be all I can trust to run old apps on.

BLEASS Voices isn’t as cheap (on sale for $12.99 USD) but does have an autotune that works great. Live low latency mode as well. It’s a really incredible app.

I believe BLEASS Vox does too but overall it’s less featured than their Voices app. Seems intentionally so as it’s cheaper ($9.99 USD on same currently) than Voices and voices is a deep/capable live (low latency) harmonization plugin and Vox seems to be some stripped down effects from it. Hard to find any info about it.

I didn’t check what else Harmony Voice does but I’m sure Voices does most of if not all of the same. Very deep app. Vox is more lightweight.

Lesson learned, take it on the chin, get a refund, and trust yourself! You knew better as your messages said 😜

I’ll admit I got cocky 😅. Thx for the recommendation. I concur, from my testing of both of those BLEASS plugs on desktop, that’s probably the next obvious choice. Plus their formant shift algorithm is surprisingly transparent, worth the asking price, no doubt. (I think you’re right: Voices is just Vox w/ more fx, etc).

It's pretty wild how well done Voices is, normally I would caveat that with price considering but it's how many years into Auto Tune now? I think they just pushed a great product at a price that's fair. Glad you checked it out!

Now to go buy a lotto ticket from the Apple refunds department…

    🤞🏼

It took me way longer than it should have to realize you were talking about a different app from the same dev lol.

That’s cool though. Pitchshifting is dope. Hope it inspires you to create some dope music.

My money is on patterning 3 so far tho

    Anyone still use mutemaster?

No one will listen to me, but this is my fastest way to sequence a song in AUM. My workflow is to make something in Koala Sampler, then hop over to AUM and find sounds and loops and sequences using all my synths to make complementary sounds. NOW of course I could resample back into Koala but I like the ability to edit my AUM stuff. I add loads of effects and stuff in AUM. So I really want my faders to turn on and off at the right times. I can turn on and off my faders and create a sequence so fast using Mutemaster. Saves me SOOOOO much time. Occassionally, I wish I had more mutes (limit 6) but when I do I just deal with the limitation or I pipe things into a mix bus and mute the bus. Sometimes I'll want more patterns (limit 8) and then I'll use a midi app like Helium to trigger the mutes when I need them. It's as deep as you need it be with some small limitations but it's also INCREDIBLY fast if you just need to arrange a song really quickly. I LOVE IT!!!!

While I'm jerking off this developer, I may as well point out that Harmonicer is RAD as hell if you want a fun midi tool. I love VOLT (although it irritates the shit out of me that it doesn't save state -- and I blame myself as I've never written to the developer requesting a fix) and KB1 is a great tool for people who can't play a piano as you can do a 1 key into a chord sort of thing. Also dead useful drum pads for using with all my amazing Klevgrand drums. MPE controller in there tool. Loads of great things in it. I could go on and on (popsicle is a great x/y pad that records your finger movements with loads of awesome effects in there) but I'll stop while I'm behind.

Indeed, but the exact combination of bundles + possibly single plugins that one has to buy to make the best of the discounts eluded me for a moment, as there are quite a few plugins, some of which are outdated. But as I wrote a few posts later, it was actually pretty straightforward.

  • @enderwiggins23 you don’t have to sell me on the dev, MM is one of the few things of theirs I don’t own lol, I saw some tutorials on it and your kinda selling me on it, I just don’t really understand it lol but I’ve seen what it does lol
