Anyone have the Santa Ana gadget? It’s on sale and wondering how it sounds vs steel guitar pro.
Santa Ana is more typical guitar phrasings and styles (picking, Barr chords). Steel Guitar is its own thing and really the only app like it on iOS. I saw your post about it and I think Santa Ana would be better suited for the chugging rhythms you want. There are numerous presets for that.

I completely remember. Bad UIs. Super large file sizes. Unresponsive dev. Looks like at least #1 is being addressed.

How was the sound? Thanks!
Anyone have Sydney? I have loopy pro but it can take a bit of work to drop samples in... Wondering how quick it is to just use my blocs wave samples in something like Sydney.
It was not special enough to keep with all those detracting elements.
Heh, gotcha!
Anyone knows how long THU Overloud is on sale?
I do not, maybe check their website or Social feeds to see if they mentioned it anywhere. Hopefully someone can help you. Cheers.
@NoncompliantBryant if youre looking for chugging rhythms you might consider Riffler (not Riffer) the original one and not the more recent Riffler Flow. It has the metal the djent and all the chug. You can use it by itself or with MIDI and Steel Guitar and Yonak stacks or use something like Thu or Nembrini.
I've got Riffler which I love... But if I want to program my own sequence, I unfortunately can't use it's sounds. What I like about Santa Ana is that it has guitar articulations that you can't just program with midi since it's sample-based.
Also, the fact that Riffler can only generate up to 16 bars can be a huge downer. I end up sequencing presets in AUM which can be clunky, or having to record midi to Atom (which then means not being able to use the Riffler audio, which is fantastic). Also means I can't take advantage of the randomization feature if I have a 4 chord progression that goes across 16 or 32 bars, for instance, just using Riffler.
If Riffler had even just 16 bars you could program it'd be far more usable, imo. Do you have any workflow tips for longer sequences using Riffler without resorting to recording audio or midi? Right now I'll make two 8 bar sequences with two chords a piece, create AUM presets, then send PC to trigger the presets in time. Again, it is kinda clunky to do all that (saving presets, setting up something to sequence the PCs), and it creates this whole issue of having crap tons of AUM presets that then require some thought as to naming conventions since over time it means lots of AUM presets created as you make more projects using Riffler this way. It is kinda shocking that both Riffler and Riffler flow have only 8 bars... Means you can't even do a 12 bar blues.

I ended up getting it and ws steeling myself for buyer's remorse.
The rhythm articulations are excellent... I no longer feel the need to plug in and record if I want to get something that sounds like actual rhythm electric in many cases. The sounds are also very high quality.
