It won’t even load patches in standalone for me anymore. Anyone else having that issue?
Edit: delete and reinstall worked.
Tried on iPhone as well. I found that in portrait mode if I pop open the AUv3 up, I’m able to access the far right Documentation Browser. If you see no files in the window, select “…” and select “show default folder”. If you can get it to expand Extra->Presets->LIRA-8 you should see LIRA-8.pd. Double click that. Then at the bottom left of the UI click the 4 corner square icon to properly fit the synth ui to the window. I found once I cracked it once, I had no issues with the invisible synth ui (with just a drone) again. I did also get that invisible synth but cracked at it for a bit and once it’s in the recent files list, it should load visually, especially after using the fit to screen icon.
iPhone 13 Pro Max iOS 17.2.1
iPad Pro 12.9 5th Gen iPadOS 17.1.2
Good luck!
@jihi works on my iPhone 13 Pro Max as well but not working on my iPad which is an Air 5 (2022).
I find if you try to do any kind of file browser operation in the AUv3 version it freezes the plugin gui and you need to restart the host.
If I press any button period it freezes the AU and has to be restarted. Hoping these bugs can get squashed because it’s a great app that’s sadly not usable as an AUV3 in its current form.
Nice.
Updated...
Browsing works but I get no sound from Lira8 in standalone or AUv3...
2 steps forward, one step back. Better interface access but no sound for me either, theres a lot of errors in the console when loading the patches.
Likewise. Looks great, but silent and a zillion errors.
Yeah usability definitely more promising but I think it's probably some kind of sandboxing issue with the folders.
Oh wait some patches do work....
I guess it must be a library problem on Lira-8 etc
It looks like accessing any files besides the one being opened is not working, including subpatches, which is not ideal
I’m also not getting any sound and can’t even access patches at all in standalone. Also having scaling issues in AUM. Anyone managed to get it to work? Looks like this one may be a lost cause. I hope not though.
in standalone/settings/audio, you have a test audio button
@HotStrange are you seeing loading errors when opening a patch? That's because of the issue I mentioned above and the developer is aware of that problem. I think that the iOS file system has turned out to be more problematic than he anticipated; we've seen other devs struggle to make their apps work with it when first porting to iOS. I think that there's a will to get this to work fully, but it'll probably take longer.
Strange as I could load the patches before with no errors in AUv3, but just the gui was the problem (as far as I could see), so I don't see why this update should break that...
@Carnbot in addition to the GUI layout issue, he was trying to make opening files from the AUv3 correctly when reading from the filesystem. It actually can now, but only that one single file; any subpatches, which are saved as separate files, can't be loaded now
Yeah, but the Lira-8 patch was working before and so were the single file patches from the AUv3 for me, that's what I mean so why were the subpatches working before?
if you put all the files from the lira folder and subdirs to the extra folder it might work.
That’s what I mean: in an attempt to fix file loading from AUv3 everything broke. LIRA-8 is not single file; which single file patches were working from you? That’d be an important, and different, regression to report.
Ntrack has native pure data implementation
Do you mean https://apps.apple.com/pl/app/n-track-studio-daw-make-music/id1130289718?l=pl
or version pro? Both are subscription, but good to know…
Pro is one-time $29 purchase.

On iOS/iPadOS? I've not been able to find any reference to that.
[edit] apparently not unless something has changed recently.

Thank you
Yeah there are error messages in the sidebar. It will load up the lira 8 patch but no sound. And the scaling is pretty wonky. I could live with that if I had sound though 😂 I can’t even load patches period in standalone mode which means I can’t use the app at all right now unfortunately.
Has anyone found a way to make Lira 8 work again?
