    Gilbert is co-developer.

  • I tried the demo. I’m pretty sure I followed the steps, but of course could have missed something subtle. In any case, it didn’t work.

At this point I have to assume that this really only works with the new version, not yet released, that @Gilbert is working with in the video.

    I abide.

Yes, you are right, the video was made with a recent version of the Auv3, anticipating ( and preparing for ) the update that is coming soon.

  • Prior to the update, I’d like to lodge a few pre-requests:
    vision pro compatibility,
    AI assisted pattern generation,
connection to preferred blockchain for saving files as NFTs,
subliminal, auto-streaming user manual (optional from settings),
    electro-gravitic propulsion mode,
guaranteed access to enlightened trance states with a simple, linear, kensho-satori slider (param exposed, of course)

  • @Gilbert : I thought DPP was pretty much abandonware .. That is great news!

😂 they should get right on that!

@Gilbert : here is a demonstration of what i am doing in Loopy Pro...I have also tried in AUM.

Btw, it would be great if the transport did not have to be running for this to work. I'd like to be able to trigger the drums from my controller when the transport is not yet running (and the tempo not yet set...as ideally, I will be using the drums to record the audio loop that sets the tempo.

No need to use the transport if you don’t want to use DPP’s sequencer; just use the auv3-player as a midi-in sound module (next version that is). In that case, still a “song” preset needs to be selected for the desired choice of drum kit.

Here’s a list of expected new and updated features:

    • AutoJAM! feature with on-the-fly instrument remapping, automatic fill generation, and intro and outro generation, all controllable via midi CC.
    • Kit view allows for dropping audio files directly from Files app onto the sample slots. Up to 16 files can be dropped in one go, sample slots are filled sequentially. Existing audio files can be optionally overwritten. Wav-files are automatically converted to m4a-format.
    • Swap samples in Kit view (Select mode) by drag and drop.
    • Grid view offers copying of selected drum strokes to arbitrary locations in the grid via drag and drop.
    • Export view allows rendering of multiple patterns in one go.
    • AUv3 player supports three different playing modes: follow host timeline (mode Absolute), start relative to host timeline (mode Relative, beat-aligned), start relative to host timeline only the first time for as long the host keeps playing (mode Rel-Abs, beat-aligned).
    • AUV3 player supports midi note in (omni) and midi note out (channel 10) according to the active drum kit mapping.
    • Midi map of drum kits corrected according to GM standard.
    • Midi support extended to midi note out via core midi and virtual midi.
    • 5 New drum kits.
    • Audiobus SDK v3.0.15.
    • Various bug fixes.

    Wow ✊

  • “AUV3 player supports midi note in (omni) and midi note out (channel 10) according to the active drum kit mapping.”

@Gilbert @Marinus : will you be able to play a kit/individual instruments in the auv3player using midi notes in a velocity sensitive way?

Great! I bought DPP a few days ago and am now wondering where the pop pack vol. 1 is?

Pop pack vol 1 was never released.

Great news. I really look forward to work with the auto fill feature. I have some struggles on how to program a crash exactly where I need it in the song (after a fill but not always after a fill for example). I end up copying the patterns I use and after inserting a crash I save them with a new name. I can’t always make use of the Link feature to make a crash every fourth beat or so.

Well, yes another method is to duplicate the song and the second version is only containing empty patterns and patterns with a crash. After export I can merge them together. It’s like having two tracks in DPP only not at the same time.

  • @Marinus : I would love a pattern mode for the AUv3 where instead of a playing a song, the AU would let you trigger a song’s patterns with notes or program changes or cc’s.

@espiegel123: Pattern mode in the AUv3 will be there, with pattern selection via gui or via program change.

Sorry, something wrong there indeed. For now, https://www.drumperfect.nl/drumperfect_manual_v3_3.pdf is on-line, but not 100% correct.

Ah thank you, really looking forward to that and the update, cheers

  • Hi @Gilbert,

Not sure if this is the right place but I know how to replicate the "missing velocity/zone" bug.
In the kits page tap on a name of a sample ...sample select menu comes up......just hit cloise without hitting anything else.

And 2 huge feature requests please...

    1) user adjustable velocty to sample start. This method makes many ac drum sounds more realisticly playable and and is very memory efficient.

    2) on this one I may be ignorant of a way to do it currently...

Foot pedal support for more "open" hh samples and support for the Edge sounds of a hi hat. Multiple instruments with the ability to use cc4 simultainiously. I hope I've not been confusing..g

As far as a drum sample sound source..the kit page....I find the ui a pleasure to use and I've spent hours and hours programing a well playing ekit w DPP. Can't wait foi the update. If I can help in any way ,like boring tedious stuff with the packs let me know. I check here and the app store daily for the update.

Thanks for a fantastic drum app!

  • Pattern mode in the auv3 ? Wow!

  • Sorrry when is the ETA for this EPIC update. Maybe bigger news than beat scholar

I'm curious too on the ETA @Marinus (?) checking the store a few times every day, hoping ...

Beat Scholar is cool and very original but from a sound perspective not in the same league as DPP (just imo of course). 😃
