@FlowingRobes: Thanks for reporting the bug, fixed in upcoming update.
W.r.t. adjustable velocity to sample start: is that different from applying an ADSR envelope?
W.r.t. pedal support: did you test having multiple instruments put in pedal mode at the same time?
EDIT1: sorry, not possible at the moment. Will think about this.
EDIT2: did some more tests. What if you would create an extra sample group in both the open en closed HH instruments for the "edge" sounds? E.g. under the "1st" label. It would be like having multiple instruments (packed in a single DPP instrument) responding to the hihat controller at the same time.
Pls email me for further discussion.
Any word on this update yet?

I have to say it's kind of strange behaviour showing a function we all want and then just go quiet for months, not replying tp inquiries or anything. I'm a bit disappointed (but then again, I have higher hopes for Klevgränd OneShot anyway ...)
Klevgränd OneShot… that’s new to me.
For me being able to trigger drum patterns from Loopy Pro is my ideal workflow. I have DPP but cannot use it for that purpose. Instead I use Digistix 2 which can hold up to 24 patterns at a time. If DPP with it's upcomming AUv3 support will allow the 64 patterns in a song to be triggered I will switch to DPP immediately.
Not only because of the amount of patterns but mostly because DPP has the feature that when you switch to another pattern it will only play when the current pattern is done playing and not before. In that way I would be able to make intros, fills and endings work when playing live. Digistix cannot do that.
I think DPP is great for making realistic drum tracks for recordings but when it comes to using it live it is missing the AUv3 support for triggering drum sounds and patterns.
Always have high hopes for klevgrand . #1 > @kwinther said:
You program up to 64 patterns per song (when using DPP) ?
Your right that would make it even give digistix some competition
Really I hope @Marinus or @Gilbert can give us some timeframe
Yes, and no. I program up to 64 patterns so I can use them for many types of songs. The patterns are intros, fills, endings and rhythms like rock, waltz, ballads, shuffle and so forth. Like a good old drum machine where you select pre-made rhythms and variations. The Pro Beats app is like that but it is audio based. I have experimented making the patterns in DPP and then export them to Pro Beats. It works as long as you don’t change the initial tempo too much in Pro Beats. But you miss all the good stuff DPP can make like JAM, Probability and Humanize.
In fact. If DPP could make use of the patterns the same way as Pro Beats I would’nt need Loopy Pro anymore.
Not so strange in my opinion. These developers (like most ios music developers) aren't developing apps full-time. Sometimes you think you are almost ready to release and then find some issue that is more complicated to address than you anticipated...and/or something comes up in your real life (job, family , health,...) that needs your attention and slows your progress.
If you can link me to what tutorial you used because I got nowhere with the app myself
I guess I have watched every single video that exists but these 13 tutorials from Amp Apps I found very useful:
It took me a couple of weeks to understand most of the app. Making my own drum kit was very useful for learning that part. I found some free Linn LM-1 samples and made an LM-1 kit and made this short piece just for fun:
Always the Dev(elopers) Advocate Mr Spiegel. Now, if any of the scenarios you paint are the case, it's very easy to say so instead of meeting questions with silence. Like: it's been put on hold we get back when we know more, or whatever.
Never mind I just expressed how I felt/feel.
@Marinus I am installing DPP on my new iPad Pro and it is crashing when I try to restore the IAP kits. Can I send you more info?
Also interested to hear how the update is coming along? It’s such a great app and I’m really looking forward to getting back into it now I have an iPad that can handle my music making again (my old one was on its knees)
Are you trying to download more than one pack at once? If so, try a reinstall and load each pack one at a time, as I've seen else where on here that other people are having trouble downloading app iaps if they try to load more than one pack at once. I can't remember where this was said, but hopefully it may help knowing this.
Anyone hear where is this update…it’s been what like 3 years ????
I asked the developer a few weeks ago and he said it would be a few weeks. I expect it sometime this month.
Thanks dude
I'm using DrumPerfect to create short songs to fill in for our drummer when he can't make practices. So nothing too sophisticated. I love all the existing patterns and I have added a couple of the IAP packs for added variety.
I am, however, overwhelmed by that variety and need some sort of methodology to take one of our band songs and find suitable patterns. Pattern naming helps. Is there a database of all the patterns available giving more detailed descriptions of each? That would help me choose a group of patterns that work together to form a DPP song I could use for the lads to practice with.
Btw, the tutorial reference in the OP is marked private so I can't watch it.
Because it was a beta version and the feature shown doesn’t exist yet. I think OP didn’t realize at the time that the feature wasn’t yet in the general release.
Trick your drummer into trying out a midi enabled kit. Record it all, then fire him. You'll no longer need to worry about missed practices ... and him trying to steal your girlfriend. 😉
@wim hahaahaahahahha
@espiegel123 so the auv3 version is still coming out….?!
I know nothing beyond what is in this thread.
I just wanted to express interest in the AuV3 version (not just the player) as well for encouragement to the developer for this excellent program.
