A zen garden of responsive sound - morphing ambient bed that reflects recency, with an organic feel at its heart.
Weeping Wall is a standalone app and AUv3 plug-in. WW is a set of microloopers that automatically record based on input detection. Each new sound will be smoothly introduced and replace older sounds, resulting in a group of sounds that always reflect the most recent input. Each looper behaves independently - their size can vary and they will beat against each other as they phase. Up to 5 loopers are available to record into, with repitching and reverse controls as well. A dedicated “jitter” control allows you to randomly vary the size of each looper on each loop, creating variations that will never be heard again.
Weeping Wall can be used as an effect directly on a track, or as a send effect. WW is intended to be a modular tool; it doesn’t include reverb, EQ, saturation, flutter, etc., but it plays extremely well with them. WW is a brand new effect that can be used in any number of creative ways - you can place it fully wet in front of a reverb, place a hint of it behind a saturator, combine it with your favorite pitch modulation - whatever you can dream. WW is fully compatible with automation and modulators such as Ableton CV to broaden the horizons even further.
Weeping Wall has the following controls available:
Threshold: The volume at which input will start recording into a looper.
Looper size: The size of loopers, in seconds, from 0.1s to 3s.
Jitter: A control for desynchronizing loops. Loops will be randomly shortened, and each one is free to change size independent of one another.
Semitones: Repitch loops, with a range of +/- one octave.
Reverse: A latching control to reverse looper playback.
Looper number: Up to five loopers are available.
Decay rate: How long loops will be held before fading away, from seconds to forever. This essentially controls whether WW functions more as a looper or as a delay.
Independent dry and wet volumes: Use WW as an effect directly on your track, or as a send effect.
Beat syncing: Loopers can be synced to your tempo, from 1 whole measure to 1/32nd notes.
Transport syncing: Loopers can be paused or destroyed on pause.
Crossfade length: Control the length of the crossfade occurring at the start/end of each loop to keep sharper transients or smooth them off.
Fade time: Control how long loops take to fade in/out.
Pretty cool
.
Absolutely wonderful when used with plenty of midi parameter modulation. Appreciate the simple interface though I'd love some inbuilt random modulation... maybe that could be considered for a future update? Just slowly modulating Threshold is very satisfying; loops ebbing and flowing, then occasionally being refreshed... very hypnotic...
Looks cool it’s an effect app not a midi app which I thought like ZOA don’t go looking for it in the midi section of AUM !
I was tempted by this on desktop but now it's on ios and I have SideRack I don't need it - result...!
Yes got Side Rack yesterday mainly to use my effects plugins on iPad with my Mac mini. Will be testing Weeping Wall out later.
This is a fantastic app for ambiant and evolving music. Try several tracks with different instruments and a WW on each track. Set a long but not infinite hold time to make it evolve even more
Posted this demo I made (Mostly with guitars and synth plugins) for the desktop version when it came out, almost any comment there were saying this needs to be on iOS (Makes sense, as most of the people who view my channel are iOS-heads) so I'm glad Aqeel the dev made that.
I would def try the app version and hopefully post a separate video for that one too.
Just posted a track I made with it over on Creations. It’s good. (The app, I mean. I’ll leave it to others to decide what they think of the track .)
What is TTAP?
Amazing
TTAP is a delay effect by K-Devices https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ttap-delay-gone-deep/id1504425941

TTAP By K-Devices. Very interesting delay app https://apps.apple.com/app/ttap-delay-gone-deep/id1504425941
I have a vid on my YouTube channel btw. It’s a bit of a head scratcher this app!
My Walkthrough
In case anyone's interested, the desktop version of this is currently discontinued from $50 to $35 for the next week

Demo using guitars and piano
Looks interesting ... does the dot grid in the middle convey information or is it just for decoration? There are many more columns than there are loopers.
Lovely wee looper but I can't figure if it's possible to change settings on each looper individually or if all paramaters are global.
Wondering this as well.
On the website it says it's just eye candy
Many of the parameters only apply to the next loop that's recorded. But old loops can still be running that used older settings, so you can have layers of different loops doing different things, depending how you dial things in.
Would be awesome if we could increase the loop time to something more glacial!
OK, thank you Gav and dogonBeats.
I thought "TTAP" might have been some clever iOS music acronym (like TSTR).
Love seeing a new developer and a new sound design AUv3. I’m just wondering if this is really offering a lot more than the other various loopers I have? It feels quite straightforward? That might be very uncharitable and I would be happy to be mistaken.
It’s a valid question. I too want to support developers and add value to my toolbox.
I guess it depends on what various loopers you have..
