Any of the Slammin Mofo Captures, Tone King Imperial Mk III V2 for Cleans, there is a recent Fender HRD 3 2015 — all on Tonehunt.

But even better: some of the Cleans and Edge of breakup tones that arealready included in the Gigfast stock amps—those themselves are incremental NAM captures, so you as turn the knobs the nam capture is changing. I think. All I know is they sound great.

The attached Plexi is a NAM capture I really like, for crunch, but I forget where I got it. Possibly FB.

We can not express how happy we are reading those post. Just a kind correction that we are not changing captures in the background while you are turning knobs. It is a different capturing process that takes different knob positions of the real amp into account. It is only one file for each channel of the GigFast amps. We can promise there will be more to come :)

  • Some factory presets made with our Parametric Models. Performed by Mr. Firat Oz whom also involved in creating the presets.

  • I just installed GigFast Lite and everything seems to be working as it should, whether standalone or as a plugin (in Logic Pro). The UI is super friendly and intuitive, and it was easy to import and use 3rd party cabinet IRs (OwnHammer). And the including amps sound great: rich and organic without any weird artifacts. Very promising!

I haven’t figured out how to import NAM files. If I download a NAM file from Tonehunt, it appears as “unknown” on the iPad and I can’t see a way to open it. How do I get NAMs into GFL? Thanks…

When your I switch to NAM there isa drop-down that has an import menu item. Choose it and a file browser pops up that lets you choose .nam files

  • Thanks @espiegel123. I found the import option but the files that I’ve downloaded from Tonehunt are named “Unknown” with no .nam suffix and can’t be imported.

    Hi guys,

We've released a new beta build (v1.0 build 9) for GigFast Lite! You can download it from the TestFlight app on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

First things first: This build includes MAJOR performance improvements! We've drastically reduced CPU usage by optimizing the NAM and other effects for iOS/macOS, taking advantage of multi-core processing and some Apple juice.

As you know, we're using our own parametric NAM models (captured with multiple amp knobs) for GigFast Amps. In this build, we've seen more than a 50% reduction in CPU usage even with our heavy parametric NAM models compared to previous builds.

These performance improvements should fix most of the crash issues, especially on lower-end devices.

This build also fixes the issues with importing NAM and IR files from third-party cloud providers like Google Drive and fixes some edge-case UI problems.

If you haven't tried GigFast Lite yet, you can get the current beta version from the link below:

    https://testflight.apple.com/join/miJTZu3D

Thank you for all your time and feedback! We’re paying attention to every single comment and considering all feature requests.

Can it do stereo in and out?

  • @ArteraDSP : it would be great if the import procedure allowed choosing a zip file with multiple captures in it .

  • Oh yeah zip import would be good.

Also can you explain the three channels? Is there a link to a manual?

  • @bobbyj8866 said:

Each channel can have its own settings and you can instantly switch between them to change between say lead and rhythm settings. You can set up a midi mapping for the channel change so that you can use a footswitch to change between them.

  • Amp channel is also exposed as an AU parameter

Thanks @espiegel123! I added a .zip extension to the filename. Then I could unzip the file to reveal the .nam files. Not sure why the downloads haven’t been formatted that way to begin with.

How did you download them? When i downloaded in safari, the downloads had a zip extension.

  • I used Safari, too.

  • Mysterious

No seperate processing for left and right channels in the Lite version.

We will consider zip importing. Regarding the manual it is being prepared right now.

Channels are the actual amp channels for our amps like clean-crunch-lead. For NAM loader side you can import 3 different NAM profiles in each preset that you can make your own 3 channel amp. Each channel has its own eq and input gain and output level so that it can be very flexible tool while performing with Snapshot models.

The factory presets in GigFast Lite are great and I managed to import a NAM file OK as well. However, I am struggling with midi mapping the 3 channels. I am using an M-Vave Chocolate midi footswitch. It only seems to switch to channel 2 and 3 (I am not a mid inexpert so probably user/rookie error). Does anyone else have the same footswitch or any info about which PC/CC control messages should be sent to switch between the 3 channels?
I really, I want to change channel with a single short touch rather than a long touch, which introduces a delay when switching .

Thanks @espiegel123 - and they would be PC rather than CC?

If I set it up with PC 00 for Switch A, PC01 for Switch B and PC02 for Switch C, I can get the first 3 presets in Bank A to change, and the Channel changes to B for preset 2 and to C for preset 3. However, pressing switch A again, although the preset goes back to preset 1, the Channel 3 light stays on. Pressing switch B displays preset 2 and channel B. But I can't see to ever light up the channel A button (even if the 1st preset is displayed). Could this be a bug?

I was referring to using a CC to change channels. I haven't used PC messages to change channel.

  • Ah, thanks @espiegel123 - that makes sense. I will give it a try tomorrow!

  • That works a treat now- Thanks @espiegel123

Congratulations! This looks very cool. I’m going to try it next week when my schedule slows down.

    +1!

  • Guitar folks, this app is really growing on me and may well nudge Tonex and others further toward the back. If you haven’t tried it yet, you might give it a spin.

That is amazing review to read. We will continue to try our best and mature our product very well. Thank you.
