    Hi guys,

We've released a new beta build (v1.0 build 9) for GigFast Lite! You can download it from the TestFlight app on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

First things first: This build includes MAJOR performance improvements! We've drastically reduced CPU usage by optimizing the NAM and other effects for iOS/macOS, taking advantage of multi-core processing and some Apple juice.

As you know, we're using our own parametric NAM models (captured with multiple amp knobs) for GigFast Amps. In this build, we've seen more than a 50% reduction in CPU usage even with our heavy parametric NAM models compared to previous builds.

These performance improvements should fix most of the crash issues, especially on lower-end devices.

This build also fixes the issues with importing NAM and IR files from third-party cloud providers like Google Drive and fixes some edge-case UI problems.

If you haven't tried GigFast Lite yet, you can get the current beta version from the link below:

    https://testflight.apple.com/join/miJTZu3D

Thank you for all your time and feedback! We’re paying attention to every single comment and considering all feature requests.

Can it do stereo in and out?

No seperate processing for left and right channels in the Lite version.

Will there be a non-Lite version?

Hi, I am confused about your subscription options.

I am only interested in loading NAM profiles. I downloaded Gigfast lite hoping that it would achieve this but I must sign up for a free trial in order to use any of the features. Presumably therefore I must pay to use any features at all. In this sense it doesn't seem to be a 'lite version', but rather a demo version.

Apart from unlocking the app, what are the benefits of subscription? Will you be creating unique NAM profiles regularly? What is your roadplan?

I would just like to know is there a Mesa dual or triple rectifier modern built in? If not can it be tried somehow?

Thanks for the feedback. GigFast Lite includes four amp models created by us that has parametric captures of their all channels. Gain and power amp response is entirely usable throughout knob ranges. We will add more parametric amps and more effects , cabs with free updates and make GigFast Lite one of the strongest contenders for amp modeling plugin market.

S100 model that included in GigFast amps list is the amp that created base for these models but we will make one with all channels.

Thanks for the reply so quickly

    Edit

First impression: using my jam and iPhone the s100 sounds incredible.

I’m going to plug it into my monitors this morning when the family is up and crank this to check output

But I’m really liking it from the start. Definitely shred tones built right in and then you can load IR etc , this is going to be one wild ride

  • To anyone curious about using different amp models, I’ve found the limited set that come with GigFast to be at least as convincing as those in any other app. And if you like to use 3rd party cabinet IRs, in my case those from OwnHammer, it’s unusually easy to import and access them.

One of Tonex’s strengths is the ToneNet repository for models profiled by their users. The NAM community has something similar called ToneHunt https://tonehunt.org/ that’s free and totally open to anyone. So far, I’ve downloaded about eight amps, most with multiple variants, from Fender, Vox, Matchless, and Magnatone and they all sound pretty great.

  • There are some utter gems on Tonehunt for Nam Profiles. There is also the a page with profiles that had been posted in the FB Group as well, that you can find here:
    https://github.com/pelennor2170/NAM_models

On either site there ones that include Cabs, and there are DI models.

  • We are happy to inform you that macOS version is also available at App Store. I would also like to remind that subscriptions or lifetime purchases applies to both platforms if the same apple id is being used on the devices.

  • I really enjoy GigFast Lite but dropped the monthly sub after a few months because it would rapidly overtake the outright purchase!

My question is whether a GigFast Heavy is imminent? I want to buy in, but I know I’ll want the ‘all of it version’ … so should I save the $$ for that? Or will the Lite version perhaps have an in-app purchase to a more capable version?

Or maybe the Lite moniker is just a red herring?

GigFast Lite is pretty safe to buy since we will offer additional functionality with each update till we make it reach it's full potential. Full blown GigFast is at least 6 months ahead.
