What I would really like to see is a bunch of modern desktop daw features jammed in all half-assed, cluttering up the interface and introducing all sorts of new bugs to explore. That would be so cool. Make Koala more like everything else please!

Nobody's holding Marek hostage and forcing him to add anything. We're just having a spot of fun. No need for any miserable sarcastic grinch to come along and spoil it.

In other words, I don't get your mentality at all. Ever heard of the phrase "don't like it, don't bother with it"? Right, so don't bother with this thread and move along.

Sigh. I’m sorry you didn’t care for my sarcastic joke.

I’ll explain for the folks in the back: what I described is what a much lesser dev would do with the app and.... hell with it. Sorry sorry sorry

Figured it was a joke. Thought it was funny. Emoji goes a long way when you don't know people personally though. ☺️

  • I would like to see some more basic sample editing functions added - fade in, fade out, volume adjust selected area, delete selected area. Most can be worked around, chopping and combining pads, but nice to be able to manually envelope sounds quickly or alter transition timings on sampled phrasing.

Would also like to see some shuffle buttons to step current selection left or right. Really useful if grabbing multiple equal segments from a larger recording.

Lol. Okay I misread it. Sorry mate. Sometimes an emoji goes a long way in expressing the intent of the post. 😉

  • Slide/glide function is all I need

  • I second the request for synced looping. I manage fine manually capturing loops, but it would be nice to have them timed like in Loopy. Then again, the Resample Loop function gets you a lot of the way there.

  • In my opinion, Koala as is is perfect. It’s use combined with AUM makes it all worthwhile

    (accidental post)

Edit: I agree with you @dogonBeats and @Blipsford_Baubie . Koala is definitely perfect as-is. Produced a new Eurodance Complextro EDM Whateverthef--k instrumental in it. 🤪 And I've produced many disco styled instrumentals in it as well, including that "On the Mend" song.

I mean, sure I have feature requests, but at the end of the day, I just use what I got. It works perfectly fine.

  • I’m not here to discredit anyone’s requests, nor to say that Koala is perfect. But I’ve always had faith that the developer’s decisions would reflect the mission statement.
    Taken from the App Store:

Koala's design focuses totally on making the music making progress instant, keeping you in the flow and keeping it fun, not getting bogged down by pages of parameters and micro-editing.

...and he's done an incredible job on the design.

    (just gimme automation) 😉

😂 Aww man, my fingers do so much already. They deserve a break. And I'd be willing to pay like 8 whole dollars for that break. 🤑 Like maybe even 9 😱

I know it seems foolish, but I think i would forgo an afternoon of downtown parking, or 2 regular coffees in favour of an automation IAP in koala. Huge sacrifices 😉

  • I would like to see the effects added to koala sampler mixer added to the koala effects app. For example the compressor is there but add the pop out so it can be adjusted and so on. Make fx app a total suite. Add the samurai type package for the upgrade for the eq and extra fx that arnt there and the way to adjust the parameters.

  • Just chuck the reverb part of clouds in there. That would be enough. Or if you wanna go crazy stick the whole thing in there. Granular could be fun but I don't think fits the whole life hip hop vibe of Koala, so I won't cry about it

  • if you wanna go crazy stick the whole thing in there

This just begs x-posting to another thread I won’t name 😂

  • Multiple layers for random/round robin playback.
It‘s still an ultra rare feature in iOS music app land.

Highly doubt it's 4P Paul, no?

  • Then who? Why would he mention a Paul if it’s just a random Paul not known in the space?
