True enough, just not the really fancy ones.
Sad to see they are not showing any more love to GarageBand. It’s still a powerful program.
This are Apple OS Plugins, not from Logic
To have all of them, yeah, that would be awesome. Apple has already protected them with a lock on the iPadOS platform, and you still need to pay for a subscription.
Also true. And they can be used in Logic and GarageBand as AU plugins.
I want a 14 inch iPad
13” instead.
Before everything, they were Logic plug-ins, now called Legacy plug-ins.
I really want a more powerful iPad but am turned off by these options somewhat. My plan is to wait for the benchmarks to come out on https://browser.geekbench.com/ios-benchmarks/ and then decide on what to maybe get.
That will do 😊
Garageband is for ladies and retired musician
oh,that’s a pity :-( .. was absolutely ready to give it second chance if they improve this.. well maybe next year …
It doesn’t need an M4 chip to run, only requires M1 or better for stem splitting…
No one know how LP4i will be before 13th of may.
Just a few screenshot didn’t cover it all, and, lastly, I don’t think that a better UI will convert you to an Logic evangelist…
There are several around the internet last couple of hours that keeping saying this false fact about the new Logic Pro for iPad…
Do we have an M1 at least, LP4i will run smoothly…
On the iPhone it works very well then switch to iPad. Still has a place in the chain for me.
Garageband is too limited, but, sure, it’s suits a few others…
It’s free and that’s not Logic Pro…
It still gets (and as far as I know will continue to get) regular Sound Library updates.
As for more functionality/features though? Not so much unfortunately.
I’d be happy if all they did was take out the auto-normalisation when exporting.
ah ok understand .. didn’t watched keynote, i thought everything was revealed, thanks.
Ordered one of the new 13” Pros, looks like a nice upgrade. Almost went with the matte glass but cancelled my order after seeing how it washed out the screen more than I want.
I have a strong suspicion that the matte glass will attract and hold smudges and fingerprints far more than the standard glass.
My thinking after yesterdays Event - will that be any M3 iPads in the futures?
As the product lines is today, there’s a lot of of different iPad configurations (48 to be exactly), but non M3…
Ye gods I hope that advert was AI, even if not its messaging is really tragic for a company that’s traded for decades on being the creative choice. A real example of dumb ass marketing people getting carried away with a concept while losing sight of what they’re actually saying…
I wouldn't be surprised if they brought it out in the lower end iPads.
I liked it. If the idea had been presented as an animation it would not have been as memorable. It affected you. That's what matters.
I don’t understand all the outrage either, thought it was pretty straightforward that Apple sees the iPad filling a lot of creative roles. People get angry about everything these days.
I’m just not keen on the message that it’s ok to trash stuff, corporate waste and greed writ large and a million miles away from their 1984 fight the power roots. In these straightened times of cost of living crisis coupled with machines and crappy AI tech threatening the livelihoods of millions of actual creatives, it seems like an insensitive message at best, an open threat at worst. Then again, if you’re a corporate suck up by nature, I’m sure it all seems fine 😘
It works better in reverse:
Yeah that makes much more sense, even considering the wanton destruction, at least the message is positive instead of just, banal…
Know who is the second largest (as of this post) account on YouTube, whose channel regularly features destruction videos?
"Mr. Beast".
Just a wild guess, but Apple may have noticed this when they got the idea for their ad.
